I can't remember the last time any of the local radio stations played a new song that I "just had to buy" (actually it was Stabilo, great song called Everyone, but that was two years ago). I find most of the new music sounds an awful lot like music I have been hearing for years. It isn't bad, but it isn't good enough to buy when I have 100's of better CD's at home already.

I've been sampling classical music and older jazz in an effort to find something that is new to me. It been a long time since I heard something that I felt was completely new. I haven't experienced the thrill of hearing something new like Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Stranglers or Skinny Puppy for a LONG time. Will there ever be another Dark Side of the Moon? Part of this might just be me getting older and jaded, but even my kids often listen to older songs. They feel many of the new bands are recycling old tunes (or are posers).

I can afford to buy any music I like - there just hasn't been much worth buying.

Organic food doesn't have any advantage over non-organic food. If I buy "normal" fresh fruit, vegatables and meats, and cook them using healthy methods the resulting meal will be just as healthy as if I started with "organic" food. The only difference is that organic food wasn't sprayed with pesticides and only natural fertalizers were used to grow it.

Processed food is the problem. If I process organic food (chop it up, press it, fry it, add salt and sugar, etc...) it will now be unhealthy food.

If you want to eat healthy buy and eat FRESH fruit and vegatables. Buy fresh meat, poultry, and fish. Eat most fruit and vegatables raw. Steam your other vegatbles instead of boiling them. Do NOT deep fry anything. Keep sugary and fatty treats to a minimum. Cut back on the amount of meat you eat (unless you are training vigorously every day you most likely eat more meat than you need). Never drink more than a single glass of pop (soda to the Americans) per day. EXERCISE every day for at least 20 minutes.

Pop/soda is liquid sugar. All deep fried foods have too much fat. Virtually all processed foods have too much sugar, salt, and fat. Processing often reduces the vitamins, fibre, and other good parts of food. Cooking your own food is fun and healthy.

A large part of the problem is that the current USA government has made it much more difficult for USA people, companies and agencies to cooperate with other countries on any space related projects. Ant exchange of information or material, for example solar sail material, or metal tubes, requires a permit (TAA) from ITAR to export these dangerous weapons. This includes allies like Britian.

The planetary Society had to register as an Arms Trafficker!

Other laws like INA which wants to restrict exporting weapons to Iran are so broad that if a single agency anywhere in Russia is suspected of helping Iran with any weapons program then it is almost imposible to cooperate with any Russian agency. So if a private Russian company sells Iran machine tools that could be used in their nuclear program it affects cooperation with the Russian government space agencies. This is why USA companies may not use cheap Russian rockets to launch commercial satelites. This is a scam to "develop" the local USA space program in the opinion of many.
