I guarantee Joe Sixpack will have a phone with the CPU power for OCR before he is convinced to carry a barcode scanner, or anyone is convinced to deploy barcode signs.
I think part of the higher prices at Walmart is that they don't mark down older games, or wait much longer to do so. New games go on the shelves at similar prices to EB or Gamestop, but when the others have long since marked down titles to $20-30, Walmart still has them at $50.
Most versions of the Geforce FX 5200 (non-Ultra) run fanless, which should speak to its relative energy efficiency. It also runs about as fast as a Geforce 3, unfortunately.
Q54arwms is a commonly used password? Is this some part of the collective unconscious I'm unaware of? Half the things in the list seem like they came out of a random generator, yet they are common?
Not sure if it counts as an installation, but before anything else I go into the registry and completely disable remote procedure calls over TCP/IP. Why rely on the patch when you have no use for the feature to begin with? Then,

EQII is a game that will focus most of our content on the individual and smaller groups, while EQ's endgame encourages large raid forces to play the high-level content.
Translation: the EQ2 client/server chokes on large number of people in the same place at the same time.
Although extreme Bible-thumping explicitly Christian games thus far have been rare and poorly-executed, there's no shortage of mainstream games with religious over/undertones, symbolism, or commentary. Deus Ex, Xenogears, and Alpha Centauri come to mind. Can someone name more?
Lineage 2 is still in beta. When they have a lower than expected subscriber base and need an infusion of cash to continue operating, then we'll see what expansions will cost.
Why isn't it done? Because most people would feel inconvenienced by having to reboot, but only a few people become aroused at everything involving Linux.
I bought some nail polish a few years ago that was labeled "for external use only." More recently I bought a plastic tablecloth that warned "do not iron."
It's not so far fetched. They can make a new graphical engine to go with Aurora as NWN2 and use those tools to make BG3.

This looks like a joke, but I did this back in the day. I checked out a number of bands by getting.au files UU encoded in usenet over my 14.4 connection to AOL. It took about 12 hours to get a song. And yes, I did buy the album later.

You could do that, or you could just use plaintext URLs and equip your cameraphone with OCR capability.
The result of its efforts - "conduits on a purely deprived basis"
A self-referential comment by the translation software?

The stakes are high, because if the probe touches down it will destroy all life on Earth before reterraforming the planet.
I'm fairly patriotic, but someone needs to take stock of things and notice our space technology is so mature it's falling apart...

I'll wait for the clinical trials on the effects of using these long-term.

You shouldn't admit to that kind of thing.
Refer back to my post.

Maybe it would be better if these were locked up by patents.

Jedi Academy comes close with a line that, to anyone who played Jedi Knight 2, pretty obviously makes fun of JK2's nonsensical puzzles.
Emulating the Xbox consists of basically nothing other than defeating DRM. The machine itself is already just a standard, albeit crippled, PC.
I hope the English translation of the game is better than the English on the game's website.
Microsoft can use or make OSS when it fits a larger profit-driven strategy just like IBM, Apple, Red Hat, or any other business.

Does anyone ever think they deserve a poor ranking?
