Yes, but learing a language that you're actually interested in might encourage these kids to learn 'real' languages. Also it'll provide them with the skills to learn the 'real' language.
I find learning easier if I actually enjoy the subject.
I've just downloaded, installed and have scanned with spybot.
It found loads of Internet Explorer Security Holes and gave the following explination:
There's a security hole in IE allowing websites to execute code without asking you first. You can find more information at http://security.greymagic.com/adv/gm001-ie/
Luckily I use Mozilla, but its intresting that, that is what it picked up on.
Yes, it is high but this also included a lot of cookies. There was one actuall program, which was a bit worrying. I've never ran it before though, I always felt that I was sensible enough not to get infected, but obviously I was wrong. Its been over a year since I last re-formatted my HDD so one dodgy app isn't too bad.
Not sure if this is the norm, but a fresh XP SP1 install followed by installing Spybot S&D from CD normally yields at least 10 problems. This is before the computer has been online.
You phone contains an IMEI number, this is unique to the phone. If you change SIM card then your phone will still have the same IMEI number. To get your IMEI number just dial *#06#
If you're in the UK, and you loose your phone or if it gets stolen, then you can quote that number to your network and it will be blocked across all then networks in the UK. Unfortunatelly there is a market to sell the phones overseas where this system doesn't work. Hopefully one day, the rest of the EU will be part of it, and it should reduce the value of stolen phones.
When I bought my first Pay-As-You-Talk sim card back in 1998 you didn't have to show any ID for it, but since then I've bought SIM cards and I've had to phone up to tell them my name and address, however this could surelly be faked.
I got my last SIM on o2 for 99p, with 300 free txts and 300 free mins of WAP per month with no contract which isn't bad!
I was going to say, in that video I saw one of the guys wearing a badge with the outline of Britian on it, and a Union Jack.
Also, did anyone notice the BBC Micro at the beginning of the video? They bring back memories, its what I learnt to program on, back in the day when you could get kids books on how to program from the library. Mind you, I also learnt about GOTOs and used them far too much.
I'm in a student dig in Hull, and according to the TV Licencing ppl we don't exist. We've tried to purchase one several times, but according to them our house dosen't exist.
After buying stuff on line I've realised that our address exists in some databases but not in others, so it does seem reasonable.
That London newspaper is the Sun, it is a national tabloid and also Britians most popular paper. The topless girls can be found on page 3, unless there has been some tragic event in the world, in which case out of common decency they don't.
Some of my friends have 3G phones. When a 3G phone is used to phone another 3G phone, you essentially have a video phone system.
TBH, I can't think of any particular use of this, but then I do chat to my girlfriend using a webcam on Yahoo! Messenger. Body language is so important in how we communicate, it really helps in understanding what the other person is trying to say.
When text messaging (SMS) first came about nobody really had any use for it. Now that pay-as-you-talk phones are common place and SMS is a cheap/free way to communicate between different networks it has exploded. I'm sure that the marketing ppl and the free market will ensure that video phones are everywhere, although they may all be on 3G mobile phones, not fixed blocks in the corner of the room.
only work with a high-speed, broadband connection.
I don't think Telewest provide a dial-up service, so for it to work on Telewest you'd have to use broadband. Also it makes it sound more impressive to Joe Bloggs.
What are they going to do about shifting smells? If you open an email that has a bad smell, such as spam and then you follow up by opening a personal one from your girlfriend that has some sort of rose petal smell, how would you get rid of that bad spam aroma?
Does this thing have fans, it doesn't look like it.
Its slow, because its based on Flash, but its pretty neat at grouping results. I prefer Google and Yahoo for quality of search results though. I have to say, Yahoo is suprisingly good:) - Go competition.
My girlfriend won't install Firebird or Mozilla untill she can make use of all the fancy WYSIWYG features in Yahoo! Mail for composing rich text emails.
Whenever she uses my computer, she logs in and then finds out that she can't use it and has to load IE.

What do they count as spyware?
Windows XP
Was this particular spyware program Gator by any chance? It sounds very much like it.
Download yourself a free copy of Ad-Aware from here. I ran it on my computer the other day and it found 22 infected files, that it cleaned up for me :)

According to this page from Surrey Satellite Systems, UoSAT-2 runs on a Microsoft platform. Doesn't that make it an evil entity on slashdot?

Portage 2.1 to adopt RPM format for LSB compliance
It's a shame they had to put a disclaimer on it.
Build a PC out of old components, with a TV out card, then you can play any format you wish such as XViD and DivX.
I know of quite a few people who have done this and it works really well, you hardly notice the cooling fan.
I'm sure you could manage that with $150
I DON'T PAY ANYONE to use Yahoo's POP service.
I get it for free! FYI, my ISP is Kingston Communications whilst at university and back home I use BT.
Maybe its just Yahoo.co.uk that provide the free POP service.

The page three girls can be found here. Enjoy :)
I have free POP and SMTP to my Yahoo! account.
Why would I or anyone else need YahooPOP when Yahoo provide POP for me?

I just tried to upload my CV to www.monster.co.uk and it crashed Mozilla, tried again and once again Mozilla died.
:(
I'm gonna have to use IE

Have you tried Kartoo?

Prada's website: prada.com doesn't seem to have any information about their stores. It was also written in Frontpage 4.0!
