Most software companies arent any more accountable than private OSS/free hobbyist software developers. Companies still act as if and that's what irks me about them. They won't pay for damages, they won't help without huge sums of money for their crappy services, they don't keep stuff stocked for years if something breaks (without huge sums of money, again), they will go out of business eg. disappear and cease to support their former customers in any way, they'll do something, try to sell it and after sale, try to dump any and all obligations.
In other words, they are just like private persons developing free software with the warning: "You use this software at your own risk, I'm not responsible for anything this software might cause. You have been warned." Companies just won't say that loud and clear, instead they bury these under massive legaleses/licenses/eulas/whatever. That sucks.
Then make so much noise, they can't possibly know which email carries an encrypted message. Attach unique randomized block of ascii-text of about 1kB into your every email. Or use steganography and embed random noise into all of your images that are going outside.
Spammers could use such attachments also and do something good while they're at it.
That way if someone really wants to send something, he could just use that standard 1kb block to carry his message.

3D analysis requires stereo-pair of images, like this. Alternative would be to use some kind of radar or sonar, measuring time-differences of bounced signals, etc. Those and other methods for 3d digitizing.

Wait a year or two and when it's in discount bin and working no-activation crack has been released, then buy it. Good games don't get old. If you suspect it might get old then maybe it isn't very good afterall.
Maybe FarCry2 or 3 or something else will be better. You just don't know. But you can bet that you'll know whether HL2 is any good after waiting a year, without even trying it out first.
