I would recommend a triple boot option for all air traffic control towers and naval units. Simply partition the hard drive three ways and use one for linux, one for windows, and the last for OS X. If a virus trashes one system at least you'd still have redundancy. The difficulty would be on the porting of all the software to the different platforms.
