This document supports my post. It lists interest rates for underpayments and overpayments up to 2006. It calls the interest rate a "penalty" when applied to estimated tax payments (estimated tax=withholding for self employed), but it is still an interest rate and is the exact same rate as applied to underpayments.
It does list penalties for late filings and late payments but that is a different matter than underpayment, which is what the article is about.
This shows the current interest rates. One thing to note is large corporations pay 6% vs 4% for small business and individuals. The original poster's claim that the IRS treats big corporations better than individual when dealing with underpayments is false.
...back taxes with outrageous interest and penalties?
Unless they committed a crime, the penalty is interest, just like with individuals. The interest rate is reasonable (currently 4% for individuals and corporations). On top of that, the IRS pays you interest (again 4%) if you overpay. I know it's popular in some circles to paint government as the ultimate evil in all things, but people will take you more seriously if you start with facts.
This is new, cool and has creative possibility. An MIT Open Courseware entry for architecture had this:
"Students will learn various methods of representation for their ideas, and will work in model form and both freehand and hard-line drawings. Students will be encouraged to remain away from digital means of representation until late in the semester."

That's a damning judgement you've made (that this code in unfixable). Not even the kernel developers have made such an accusation. I'm sure you would not do so without deep knowledge of this specific code. Given your expertise, could you give us some technical details about the problems?

OK, I understand the difference between American and European usage of the word "liberal" (in Europe "liberal" is center-right, in the US "liberal" is "center-left" [which is "extreme left" to many USians and still pretty right-wing in European eyes]; from the context it is clear that you're talking about American liberals), but what is the difference between "liberal" and "Liberal"?
The OP's intended meaning of liberal is anyone who disagrees with him, and the usage generally follows other terms that describe an intentionally undefined enemy like "them" and "illuminati". What caused these problems? Them.
To be fair to damburger, the OP's baseless rant is repeated so many time by brain dead people who can't be bothered with facts that it is easy to become testy after refuting it a few thousand times. It starts with creating a fantasy enemy that bears no relation to anything in reality and applying a label used by people who disagree with you, in this case 'liberals'. Then you claim the fantasy enemy did some horrible thing that never happened, in this case "taking over" the education system.
So damburger's response may be blunt, but it is totally correct to ask for even a tiny shred of evidence to support the outlandish claims.
It's more akin to a the owners manual not telling you where the spare tire is.

I'm glad they did not axe the iPod classic. Maybe they will reward the faithful with a quiet upgrade to 320GB since 320GB 1.8" drives have been around for a couple of years.
Lest anyone think you are trolling, I've also observed this with young nieces, nephews and their friends. It seems to be the same mechanism as listening to "the" cool music or wearing "the" cool clothes. Which is not to say anything bad about Chrome, and I doubt Google is unhappy about being the new in thing.

More specifically, Amazon closed your accounts because they did not like the prior legislation.

Then why are so many atheists evangelical?
Evangelicalism is a Protestant Christian movement. By definition atheists are not evangelical.
Seeking to impose their belief system on others?
They don't. This is more "Christmas is under attack" hysteria.
The problem with atheism and science is that atheism provides no philosophical basis for science.
This Wikipedia article explains the philosophical basis of science. Check it out.
