I have a different sort of example for you: Team Fortress 2. This was a game that was originally slated for Jan. 2001 and was going to be the type of game Battlefield 1942 ended up being (except without the aerial combat). The major difference is that Valve continued to have a secondary source of revenue (first HL1, then CS, both of which made tons of money) while TF2 went through multiple dev cycles.
if you will take the time to read the Constitution, you will learn that it is not the executive branch at all that controls the economy, but the legislative branch.
I'm glad you cleared that up. It seems to have been a bit of a matter of contention for the past 120 or so years. Never mind "sharing of power" or "checks and balances".
Why is this being reported as some kind of loss for Microsoft? Isn't this *exactly* what they wanted? XP users who didn't switch to Vista to switch to 7?
"Active accounts" for slashdot is pretty meaningless when 90% of the site's regular visitors likely do not have an account. SL has no equivalent to an unsigned-in consumer of content.
Having said that, 750k beats out the vast majority of MMO's, so it's got that going for it.
That depends on the nature of the anonymous comments. They usually fall into 3 categories:
1. "Insider" or "whistleblower". These should genuinely not be outed.
2. "Asshole" or "troll". Debatable. You're generally not going to be in legal trouble or trouble with your employer just because they find out you act like a douche when you think you're anonymous. They might reconsider giving you a promotion, however.
3. "Sociopath", threats of violence, or illegal activity. These are the ones that deserve to be outed. Using anonymity as a shield to protect you from the law undermines the genuine/useful aspects of anonymity on the internet.
In the 2012 film that will premiere this month, killed the cities and continents in droves, as the world decays. Yet just a pity that research has shown that the "end times" of December 21, 2012 probably more than two centuries two.
Is English not your native language? Because this translation is still pretty bad.
Huh? You can have multiple accounts linked to one e-mail address. There's a UI element to select which account to play after logging in. Or is this the case that you don't want to allow the children access to your account?
It requires they have your password. You friends were either paying for power leveling services at some point or on bought accounts, and the original owner (or a previous seller) simply used this as an opportunity to take the account back or they simply had their passwords stolen, likely duped by a pretty obvious phishing ploy. Or maybe they got keylogged. The point is, their account would have been stolen with or without the battle.net account system, because your friends/guidmates are dumb (or at least bad at the internet).
The difference is Blizzard currently has no delusions of destroying the game publishing companies like Valve did. Battle.net 2.0 is more like their own version of Facebook for their own games only.
I wouldn't expect to ever be able to buy a non-Blizzard game on Battle.net, and I wouldn't expect any more interoperability than Facebook and Myspace currently have (i.e. none). I could always be wrong, though!
So it's sexist to take the actual ratio of men and women (you know, FACTS) into account when trying to use one of the two as an example of "less plausible"?
This is often the trap that accusers of sexism, racism, homophobia, etc. run into when making their accusations. People are not going to ignore the reality around them and change their language to just assume that all people are equally represented when they are not, and to expect them to additionally do it in the midst of a discussion about that very imbalance is just moronic.
Talking like balance already exists does not achieve balance.
This is the post that should be +5 insightful. I'm sure there's some brick layers who really do LOVE building things, and have sheds and grills and decks and god knows what else in their back yard to show for it. And there are others who just go home and relax. Period.

I don't think the conclusion can be generalized beyond saying that women in the Framingham area are evolving to favor these attributes.
I'm pretty sure the engineer assumed such a pilot would ditch in the river.
Upon further investigation, it looks like Nvidia may be the one who broke Quake 2 for you, rather than Win7. Try the fix here.
Works for me in XP SP2 compatibility mode.
And that stops them from making another sequel how?

Then you'll probably be forced to upgrade to 7 for the always-on VPN feature.
The difference is that in Windows you don't need to know Win+E or Win+R to access basic functionality at a supported minimum resolution.
Did you just admit to being trolled?
Hey, I remember that show being pretty decent.
Oblig. - And if the universe doesn't care that our degenerate friend Fry is his own grandfather, then who are we to judge?
Uh, no. I've done it. It works fine.
