Would putting quotation marks around the lyrics and giving credit to the songwriters make it okay to publish the lyrics? It would be just like quoting a source.

I guess we all should start listening to some jazz (non-vocal of course).

I've always been in favor of having a hologram on our currency. It seems to be an effective way to curb counterfitting. Without a change of the shape and surface area of the bill (ie. a clear patch with a hologram), just changing the colors on a bill is more of a nuisance than a deterrent.

From Neon's to bimmers, people do pretty cool thing to enhance the appearance and performance of their cars. Not all look, perform or sound too hot, but some can be better than any factory car you can get.

Its also a great way to actually learn about how cars are made and produced.

Being fresh out of college, we used linked lists like they were going out of style. When I began work, I found out they were! Using an STL template and container serves as a good replacement for linked lists and other annoying data structures. I rarely use arrays anymore, I would rather use a vector or map. my personal preference, maybe because I hated linked lists and malloc arrays we exhaustively used in college.

  19. Big three vs. the world on GM Pulls Plug on Electric Car · · Score: 2, Interesting

What Big Three has to realize is that their competitors, mainly Japanese car makers, are destroying them. Honda, Nissan and Mazda are cranking out cars with goobles of horsepower, leaving Detroit in the dust, literarly. The Japanese are feeding our love for big things, such as horsepower, which translates into quicker cars. I recently went car searching and did not look at one american car. Nothing in terms of performance and styling caught my eye from the American car market. I quick glance at any car ratings guide, and you'll rarely find an American made car in the top of its class...

SUV's however, I would not buy anything either than an American made model (Have owned 3 Jeeps, great SUV's). American's are leaders in this market (except for the british Land Rovers).

Ironic that a country who should be moving away from its dependency on foreigh oil has two of its leading automakers scrap electric cars and builds better gas guzzling SUV's than anyone else.

Low and behold, I am doing exactly what I wanted to do, making good money and having fun. So much for those people working as telemarketers who were "cool" in college.

  25. Re:Installation on Rise of the 'Consumer' Linux Distribution · · Score: 1

Ok, how would one go about using a "true user friendly Linux distro"? They have to either: Install it with another mainstream OS (such as Windows) or just have linux running. Explain to someone who thinks that "AOL *is* the internet" how to install linux. They would probably just give up and never give linux another thought. For the spread of Linux in the non-geek world and essentially for its survival in mainstream computing, Linux distros must become more user friendly in its installation, plain and simple. Unless the distro comes pre-installed, how is one going to use it without installing it?

"I know that at some time you've installed an application on Windows.. Double click, click next three times voila --- icon on desktop = installed program.
If they're serious about having a true user friendly Linux distro that's where they're going to have to be."

Comparing an OS to a program that can be installed in a few clicks is incorrect. Maybe I'm confused by your argument, but please clarify this comparison.
