I've been using Browser on my (Cyanogenmod 10) phone for the past couple months because the latest Chrome (which has been getting slower and more buggy for the past year on Android) is too glitchy to effectively use on this specific device (due to interaction with eg. menus - supposedly it's a Chrome bug, not a CM bug). Chrome is simply too slow and buggy to be generally useable, up to and including how long it takes to launch the application.
In contrast... Firefox for Android is actually faster. I've not used Firefox on the desktop (or laptop, whatever) since Chrome 4 was available on the desktop (so that's what, 3, 4+ years?), but I must say, I am impressed with how well Firefox works on here, and how generally fast and responsive it is. No, for something like this, you'd probably want a young adult at the youngest. Hopefully you can find those who are either biologically or culturally unable/unwilling to have children, as such drives are somewhat disruptive to plans. Eunices or priests, maybe? Or just common IT types and a hooker or two...
If you send old people, they will lack the drive and creativity young people do. For this specific case, 35 might as well be "old".
If you send people much younger than 18, you're going to run into a problem of irresponsibility and emotional/mental problems as they reach young adulthood (when most mental illness becomes evident, at least with men; it doesn't seem to manifest until menopause with most women).
Panic and "oh shit" mistakes resulting from lack of life experience, and a diminished ability to deal with extraordinary scenarios, are going to be way, way more costly than sending another person. "Yeah, you remember Jim? No, not the first Jim, the second Jim that came here and ran over Habitat Dome 1 and killed the first 30 people on planet? Yeah, apparently his sister is 12 now, so she's coming out here. Get ready..."

They're going to have to redesign the decks for the simple fact that the Titanic was not a cruise ship, it was a passage (aka passenger) ship. Cruise ships are going to have to have a lot more comfort and room available.
That said, drinking, eating, and sitting around doing nothing are the primary activities on a cruise (I'd imagine). You can do that in any 'class' on the ship, conceivably. But I do imagine they'd improve berthing a bit for the 'general transport' class to more effectively use the space.
Honestly, I think it's a splendid idea for those who want to 'disconnect' from modern distractions for a while. There are a lot of us who do. We need a detox, and being able to say "Sorry boss, I won't be available for the next week. At all." has a lot of appeal. You've only got a couple ways to do it now:
* Go on a normal vacation but leave your phone off. This puts the burden of responsibility for missed calls squarely on you. And you're still likely to 'check in' because you're addicted.
* Go to a very, very remote 'destination' vacation: remote to the point where you have neither a hotel or coffee shop near by, or cell service. I can only think of like, one or two places in WY and SD where this applies, but I'm sure AK has a couple, too...
This is a 'guilt free' option. Honestly, the only downside I can see to a Victorian era cruise aside from how fake it'll be (I don't doubt they'll skimp on the decorations and use eg. cheaper woods and furnishing materials) is the lack of air conditioning (and/or heat?). But maybe they'll provide that, too.

You sound like the "technical" manager boss I had who was a good 10 years behind in his skills, (and thought w2k3 was hot shit in 2010).
You may even be right on some levels. But you're still wrong on the broader picture: BSDs are becoming increasingly irrelevant and further behind. New features proposed never materialize in a mature, usable fashion, and the 'killer features' (like ZFS on FreeBSD) aren't usable due to foundational problems (with eg. hardware device drivers).
For the sysadmin, BSD really is a 'dying OS' - it's either a legacy support situation, because maintaining someone else's BSD machines is an unmitigatable nightmare in most cases, or you've got what amounts to an environmentally unique deployment with maintenance infrastructure in place which has full documentation due to its similarly unique nature.
In short, *BSD is more fringe today than it was a decade ago. It's an irrelevant enabling technology if it's significant at all, because so little of the knowledge of that technology is actually cross applicable.
I think you may be confused.
Chrome isn't the 'default Android browser'. Chrome can be the default, if you download and set it up that way. But the 'default', at least as in ASOP and Cyanogenmod, is just "Browser". It's likely based on the same chrome engine, but it isn't Chrome (at least a recent version of it).
I've been using Browser on my (Cyanogenmod 10) phone for the past couple months because the latest Chrome (which has been getting slower and more buggy for the past year on Android) is too glitchy to effectively use on this specific device (due to interaction with eg. menus - supposedly it's a Chrome bug, not a CM bug). Chrome is simply too slow and buggy to be generally useable, up to and including how long it takes to launch the application.
In contrast... Firefox for Android is actually faster. I've not used Firefox on the desktop (or laptop, whatever) since Chrome 4 was available on the desktop (so that's what, 3, 4+ years?), but I must say, I am impressed with how well Firefox works on here, and how generally fast and responsive it is. It renders pages pretty well, too. I've not used it long enough to know if I actually like it or if it's 'stable' but it's good enough to consider replacing the other two (Browser and Chrome) as the 'default'.

I know, I know... I had the same problem when I bought a used 2007 Nissan. I totally expected it to have an in-dash Windows 7 computer.
And this is all if you assume that their findings are both truthful and meaningful in practice. They're measuring abstracted synthetics, and we have no idea if this game wasn't rigged (as is almost always the case with Microsoft products and performance).

It's structured for the very purpose of making 'budget cuts' seem like a waste of time. You'll never get to the creamy center because there's so much hard, baked on crud you've got to scrape off first - like a boiled lobster which is covered in coral growth.
This is why we'll never see a de-funding of things like the IRS, anything else related to core government operations, or "governing body" luxuries. Why do we not talk about cutting money from Health and Human Services? Why do we not talk about defunding the Social Security Administration (even though the bulk of the funding to the SSA doesn't even make it to recipients of SS?) Government pensions are by far the biggest money soak - but of course, these will never be touched. God help our children and their children (due to the drastic increase in size/number of government employees in the past 4 years, there'll be a lot more people waiting in line for their pensions and fewer people to fill 'em).
There's a lot of talk about the military, but the military and all DoD related spending isn't even half what these two are combined, and we've got precious little to show for it (and seemingly less year by year, as defense spending remains historically consistently flat, but shrinking slightly (since WWII).
