I'm not sure you understand the design of Freenet.
I understand the design of Freenet, so put your doubts to rest.
Regardless of what you said, and assuming for the moment that Freenet is wholly safe and anonymous and that no other mechanism exists for tracking your activity, I still wouldn't bet my freedom on it, not for one second.
I can remember far too many instances where something that was touted as "totally anonymous and untrackable" turned out not to be. You could always test it by making serious, violent, non-stop threats against the president and then wait to see if there's a knock on your door eventually.
If more than 5 people ran something important on a Linux Mint desktop that is worth holding for ransom then we would consider a port. Until then your target market is just too small and you will need to run a compatible copy of Microsoft Windows to use our software.
Thank you! I installed Windows 10 and was able to get it to encrypt my files properly on the first try.
By the way, what does "Error connecting to NSA Data Collection Server" mean? I get that notification whenever my internet goes down.
This is intentional. Plausible denyability. Even if something is found your node, it's impossible to prove you had any knowledge of it.
Yes, and you can explain that to your attorney while you sit in jail for a year awaiting trial for whatever it was they found. If you think that "plausible denyability" will keep your ass from going to prison, think again.
If someone planted a pound of cocaine in your car's trunk and you really, truly didn't know about it, do you think the cops would let you go when you explained that, gee whiz, you didn't even know it was there?
"One scientific analysis is arguing that the human sense of smell has not only been underestimated over the years, but that it may rival that of dogs and rodents"
Utter bullshit.
If this was true they'd be using humans to sniff out drugs and bombs instead of dogs.
1. He's not a so-called president. He's the president. 2. "his greed" - do you realize Trump isn't accepting a salary? 3. Firing Comey does not destroy the country.
1. He's a so-called president. Get used to it.
2) False. He's claims he's taking a salary and then going to "donate some of it" so he gets a tax write off. The fact is that his greed has been demonstrated so many times it's practically accepted as a physical constant.
3) Correct, firing Comey does not destroy the country and it also won't stop the investigation, as Trump is about to find out. It's a desperation move by someone with no insight. I'm sure this will come as a surprise to him, but he can't fire everyone. That said,if you wanted to help wreck the country, crippling the FBI by firing its Director seems like a step in the right direction.
I swear, if this so-called president wasn't busy destroying the country through his greed, ignorance, and epic incompetence, I'd be laughing my ass off at the antics of this draft-dodging clown.
I understand the sentiment, but I disagree. This is far too easy to find for that. It is very surprising it took so long. The right way to do backdoors is to make _subtle_ errors that cannot easily be found without special knowledge.
And maybe there's one of those present too, but for now everyone is congratulating themselves on finding this one without realizing there's another one that hidden better.

That way, they stay useful for a long, long time. No, this is likely just extreme incompetence.
You may be right, but I'm skeptical in the extreme.
Well, if you're going to pick semantic nits, how about it being "worse than anyone thought."
It's more likely that this worked better than anyone thought. I mean, instant root access to any Intel-run PC? It's every intelligence agency's and hacker's wet dream. No way this was an accident.
" AMT makes it possible to log into a computer and exercise the same control enjoyed by administrators with physical access [and] was set up to require a password before it could be remotely accessed over a Web browser interface. But, remarkably, that authentication mechanism can be bypassed by entering any text string -- or no text at all..."
I find it hard, very very hard, to believe that this was an accident or just the result of stupid coding. This was either deliberate or was some carefully planned subversion somewhere along the tool chain.
Except I didn't make an argument, I suggested a possible reason with a wee bit of humor thrown in, which of course you were completely oblivious to. So really, chill out and stop taking everything as a personal insult. Or not, I really don't care.

I wonder how well your code would hold up to a rigorous peer review.
Oh I'm sure everyone would marvel at my incredibly clever code and most if not all of them would print it out and frame it. Why, I'm such a good programmer that one time I ran out of ones, so I wrote the rest of program using nothing but zeros. Even Jesus complimented me on my code, he was like "DAY-UM boy, that sure be some mighty fine fuckin' code y'all done got there!" My code even averted World War 3 back in 2012, but did YOU thank me? Noooooooooo.
In conclusion, no I will not date you, regardless of your unbridled lust for me.
I'm a male engineer who works with mostly male engineers and I can tell you that the reason is more likely to be because male engineers are more domineering.
That might be part of it, which is why the first word in my post was "maybe". I suspect that a statistical analysis of gender-blind commits would help clear a lot of this debate up.

There are a lot of engineers like Richard Hendricks in the world that would make tabs vs. spaces a deal breaker for sleeping with a hot girl.
I don't know about you, but "tabs vs. spaces" was never one of my criteria when deciding whether or not to sleep with a hot girl.
Oh give me a break. The FIRST word in my post was "maybe"; I never said that female programmers are inherently worse than male programmers. Point your self-righteous outrage and hair-trigger sensitivity towards something useful next time.
"Facebook Rejects Female Engineers' Code More Often Than Male Counterparts, Analysis Finds"
Maybe it's just not as good, unless every female programmer signs it with "Coded by a Female Programmer!" That, and the little hearts above every lower-case "i".
Well, if you trust nothing,. there's really no point in discussing anything, is there? So why are you here?
Because I don't trust you.
"Saturday night saw the announcement of an experimental Perl 5 to Java compiler."
Now you can go from incomprehensible shit to unmanageable drek with just a click! Yippee!

Monitored and evaluated by a computer every minute of the workday, sounds like fucking paradise.

I've tried everything to get this to run on my Linux Mint box (including installing WINE) and it just won't do anything.
"Did The UK Police Hire Foreigners To Hack Hundreds of Activists?"
Answer: Probably.
(Yes, yes, I know Betteridge's Law says the answer is "No", but I'm allowing a little leeway this time. Deal with it.)
Because you don't run Linux.
Actually, I *do* run Linux Mint (on my laptop) and I like it a lot.

On any modern Windows computer, you go to the 'start' menu to start the shutdown sequence.
So how come there's no on-screen "Stop" button to click on to start it up then?

That's how our Lexus works...the "Start" button starts and stops the engine.

Soooo... are you laughing or not?
It's a nervous laugh, like when you just miss having a head-on collision and then laugh about it later over a few stiff drinks and some Xanax.
"Trump Fires FBI Director James Comey"
L-O-fucking-L!

This is so stupid that it makes my head hurt. Way to fuck over the private space industry, California!
'yes', 'no', and 'fake it'.
Sounds like my first wife's operating system.
So your argument holds no water.
