    Absolutely. They were ALL ABOUT "Buy American" for years and then when they got big enough, they used their size to crush competition by lowering prices by going to offshore companies.

    There's a ton of websites out there chronicaling WalMart's abuses.

    I remember some years back listening to the Howard Stern show, and he played clips of several ST cast members doing song covers. The one I remember the most is Leonard Nimoy doing a cover of Johnny Cash's "I Walk The Line". Yeow.

    A handful of us in the Chicago Linux Users Group got these drives for free THREE YEARS AGO (fall 2000) for testing them out under Linux and giving feedback on them.

    Mine's collected dust ever since. Media was like $20 a pop. For 640MB (?!?!) No thanks. I did tell them this too.

    When I saw this article posted I was hoping they had a new model that had a larger storage capacity.

    I predict that at some point in the future it will become a crime, or at least very strongly looked-down upon, to send compressible (redundant) data over public networks in uncompressed form.

    the attempts to get a financial privacy measure thru the corrupt California legislature have failed due to opposition of big financial institutions and insurers, who are big contributors to the Democrats who run the place.

    NO! I see this claimed constantly, and its simply not true.

    AOL IM has many times the active users of MSN's IM software. Now, thats not counting "has the client installed", which would mean almost all Windows users. Most of them don't use it though! My sister had no idea what it even was until I told her! I'm betting msot people are the same way.

    Kind of a sidetrack, does anyone even use ICQ anymore? I thought everyone was driven off of there by the endless stream of bots. My friends list of 250 people never seems to have more than 5-6 people online anymore.
