They want to make sure independent artists don't start getting too big for their britches and therefor don't need the help of the RIAA or the big 5 recording labels??
Case in point....Ani Difranco has sold nearly, if not MORE than 1 million albums....ALL ON HER OWN!! And that's just ONE WOMAN from that musical hotbed of Buffalo, NY *sarcasm*!! Imagine that, if you multiplied that more than 100x with talent from around the world! The labels would not be able to compete......
I recieved an e-mail form the OFFICIAL Farscape website the other day stating so. BUT, they also mention that a movie is quite possibly in the works.... as well as an ANIMATED series (granted that doesn't bring total resolution....but it's better than nothing). I for one would love to see Farscape hit the bigscreen, especially one with a bigger budget that the tv show !!

Now I have to settle with the DVD box sets (as long as Sci Fi doesn't get a damn penny from them), as well as hoping that the movie that was announced recently actually gets made!
And if Peter Jackson was to do ANY other Tolkien movie.....wish he would do The Hobbit! Think he's earned the chance to do a story based on just ONE book.....don't you??:-)
Still though....what an incredible delivery he has given us all on such an expansive story!! One would think that somewhere the quality would start to drop off, but having done all principal photography for all 3 movies at once, ensured he was going to put a top notch movie!! I shudder at the thought if he had to do this over 10 years...with all the personel changes, money squabbles and actor whinings that would ensue !
It's 10-15 million of us against 3-4,000 of them. Enough said! But....I admit too that I still buy cd's (stick THAT in yer pipe and smoke it Hillary!!). It's usually Best Buy's $8.99 deals on modern releases such as White Stripes and other neat bands, MAINLY because I make CD's for a living and I know that they only cost around 35 CENTS to make each one !!!
Probably next summer, right now the games are too few and between to justify $50 for 1-2 games that I might like. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the X Box (and NO, I'm NOT a big fan of MS), but I just need more games to play online. And I don't mean sucky games like Whacked and other stupid developer games either!! I want the beef for my $50. Hopefully Halo 2 should be out by then....as well as maybe a few other strong games and even maybe some ports like Counter-Strike, which would be SWEET to play without all teh freakin cheating hackers, though you KNOW they'll find away. Cause thats what people who suck do !!:-)
One of THE cheapest cable net providers, as well as a nice STABLE connection with failry decent connection. All this with NO SOFTWARE installed for the Surfboard 3100/4100 they provide! I'd go DSL if I can before I even touch something like Roadrunner if they ever creeped in the Buffalo, NY area....and I HATE DSL!! Thats how much I think of RR and other companies that think you should install software to run their basically driverless cable modems !

Yes I know it's a show geared for teenagers, but it really is a pretty damn good show (ok....Kristen Kreuk is HOT too!!!). But he really does pull off that nice mid-american farmboy bit quite well.....and I think the ladies out there would appreciate a fresh face on the big screen....not just actor who isn't quite that good or is ready for the scrap heap of actor has-beens!! He doesn't look like a teenager (which is one of the flaws of the Smallville show), he's got good size (While Reeves was a GREAT yet skinny Superman, we don't need another). And he WON'T use the phrase "whoa" or "dude" !!
Better to start now while broadband is fairly low, than to wait later when it's more rampant and they get caught with their virtual pants down!! This way they can ramp up the server pipelines to meet the demand, rather than the other way around.

B. Note that the fans are in the EXACT same position on BOTH fans !
C. Note that the light and shadows displayed on both fans are exactly the same (minus one or two blurred out tiny reflections), even though each fan is in a different position on the card and different distances from the light source/camera !!

Anybody have a link to the state law or DMCA where it says that getting yourself extra bandwidth which you were PAYING FOR in the first place is illegal?! If you noticed, they never said they were STEALING the bandwidth, because how can you steal a service if you were paying for it already? And why didn't Buckeye just cut them off in the first place like everyone else has been doing, when catching people who uncapped their cable modems??
They're already DOING it !! They're just covering their asses for when they get exposed for all these attacks already being staged against Morpheus, Kazaa and Gnutella and such.....
Should I feel sorry for someone who may have made 5 or 6 MILLION dollars, as opposed to the 14-15 million dollars they COULD have made?!
I think not.....you know, back in the days of court jesters and musicians, they were lucky just to earn food to eat, so tell me where it's written in the tomes of history where musicians and the suits that own them, deserve....no, are ENTITLED to earn millions upon millions of OUR hard earned money ?!
