    First, the NRA until relatively recently was NOT a political organization. It's only wing nuts in government that brought them there. Second, the NRA does not condone illegal activity, unlike the Democrat party. Third, the NRA and North Korea have nothing to do with each other.

    Not only does recycling become a non issue but extraction of minerals and other materials from elsewhere, like the moon or an asteroid - indeed, towing an asteroid to earth orbit.

    And maybe people voted for Nader because they couldn't stand either Bush or Gore. I can understand that. Funny how the Republicans never complain that Ross Perot's campaign in 1992 lost the WH to George HW Bush.

    At least he's honest enough to put his name on his posts, I guess. Having said that, my observation is that I see little difference between conservatives and liberals in their contempt for working class people, either legally or illegally in the country.

    My observation about SV is that the libertarian part is ONLY in name. It's actually quite liberal. But I could be wrong - fortunately I do not live there, but have visited for work a number of times.

    And yet during the first wave of downsizings in the 1980s, it was primarily working class men that got it on the chin. This was also true in the 1990s and was true now. SO what couple of decades are you discussing? I'm not talking about hyper educated guys I'm talking about blue collar guys.

    Mostly because the American technical community is extremely left-leaning, while participating in the most libertarian industry the nation has seen in a century. If they had to live under the ideals they espoused they would change their minds rather quickly.
