Reminds me about hearing that in certain large living complexes in the former Soviet Union all the apartments used to have built in non-tunable radios that you could never switch off. You could turn the volume up and down but never low enough that you couldn't hear it.
I seem to recall also that if you tampered with the radio in anyway in an attempt to turn it off or reduce the volume further that they would come and arrest you!
I wonder if Turner will pay to have someone introduce legislation here in the US requiring the police to come and arrest any person leaving to go to the bathroom during the "spots"??
Or maybe for anyone operating/buying/selling a PVR??
I honestly believe that this is not far from Turner's true vision for our "Brave New World".
Sigh... Sounds like it may be time to throw out the ol' TV, eh??

Maybe the thing to do when installing the software would be to click the "I do not agree" button. Then call their tech support line (if it exists!) and complain that the installation program is broken because it fails to install the software.
Oh well, guess I won't ever be buying a TV, or a DVD player, or a DVD, or one of those new fancy huge Hard drives, or a neat new fangled computer, or CD, or a CPU, or a stereo, or cable access...
Or ever get to see a movie, or a television show, or a rock concert...
Sigh, too bad for me, I guess...
Hmmm, maybe I should spend all my money on some nice wood or something... yeah that'll be nice, I can have some nice wood around.

It's funny how it's ALWAYS the power supplies that go bad first on Intel boxen. Assuming the PC components survive the first 3 months of their lifespan, the next thing to need replacing (within 2 years) has always been the power supply. Why is this? Is it just the heat that limits their lifespan? Or are power supplies used in most Intels just crappy?? I once (1 time only) bought a US made PowerCool 300 watt P/S for $150. It's lasted quite a long time but I'm not sure that justifies the hefty price. I'm curious. What are other folks' experiences? Has anyone found a good reliable P/S for AT/ATX's?? Is there some secret to it??
Might this forged spam indicate that someone has found a security exploit in the Java client??? Bad people usually do bad things for a reason. Just thinking out loud... I'm not a Java programmer.
Yep, thats right. Exactly right. Cheers, as well, &j.
Assuming the numbers are reasonably accurate, that means the U.S. government is getting 1.586Mflops/(U.S.)dollar!
Or ~63 millioniths of a cent per flop!
Seems like an obvious answer to a silly question (i.e. How can we get more 7400's real cheap?)
My dear friends... they just shot themselves in the head!
;)
Hoorah!

So if I can figure a way to patent the patent process itself can I pantently prevent all future and pending patents??
So if they make distributing viruses illegal then Microsoft won't be able to distribute Windows 2000 and Windows XP anymore, right?
Hmmm, ya know, it IS tempting...
Here's where to go to to make a "formal" complaint abot Netscape/Mozilla/Opera being blocked.

I *was* actually really considering getting one of these. Not any more!
Okay so maybe it's not in a box shape... but it STILL has a FLAT BOTTOM!!
Gee I gave up watching baseball sooo many years ago. At least I don't have to pay anything to NOT listen! Least... Not yet anyway... :P
