    It looks hopeful, but with AMD TDP is a matter of debate. There is a 95W TDP listed as opposed to Intel's 140W TDP. If actual power consumption is lower than Intel, say hello to the new era of Opteron. Back before Dozer, AMD was still often favored in server environments.

    Overall, though, it's better than a lot of other websites. Often a comment that would be viewed as say a (+2, Insightful) on Slashdot would be down voted to oblivion on Ars or blown into a top post on Reddit.

    Hey, they have one in Columbia too. You know, one of the highest cost of living spots in the nation? Got decent enough schools though.

    In the US, we talk about getting rid of our defensive agencies- the NSA is about half in charge of cyberdefense- and don't even consider attack. My proposal is we offer a $1 billion bounty to anybody that can blow the Great Firewall open. That'll show them.

    Exactly. So kill the indenture part, then they will work at about market price. Suddenly, hiring H1-Bs becomes way less economical, since you can't pay them artificially low wages.
