Art can be many things. The term itself is subjective which is why we're actually having a debate as to whether or not a game is art. There are definitely art components to a game, but the end result typically is not. Can a game be art, absolutely. Art is a form of communication with an express purpose to cause a some specific reaction in the viewer to to help us realize something about ourselves or whatever else the artist is trying to convey.
A game can defintely be beautiful, with many "art" components, but I would call it art with a "little a" because the game is commercial and meant to be a product rather than a message. Games come very close to being art at times, but until such time as they are intended from the start to be "Art" where the success of a piece can be determined in accomplishing something beyond what it is as a physical product.
In counterpoint I look at something like a Michelangelo sculpture, what differentiates that from some mass produced statue in a store? To that I would say that the artist was trying to capture his vision and create it in a physical form.. in which case a game could definitely be considered "Art"...
So is a game art.. i guess the only answer can be.. "If it was intended to be".. at which point one can weight whether or not it was successful art.
The Wright brothers brought you "bird people" just a little differently than the forecast of 100 years prevous, and yes, just because we can imagine it does increase it's likelihood of being pulled into reality. Oh by the way... ever hear of wing suits? BIRD PEOPLE!
I'm just curious as to which candidate best fits your ideological stance...
You do realize that in order for "no more bailouts" to be effective in not dragging our economy down if they are required, large companies (banks) need to be broken up into smaller more competitive (i.e. less powerful) entities. Banks like power, and don't want to be broken up into smaller more competitive chunks.
..and don't even get me started on reigning in the NSA. That's probably a bigger feat than breaking up the banks!
Show a person from 1815 the world of today, where we were barely starting to comprehend our own solar system. Show him pictures of other planets including a closeup of a planet he doesn't even know exists in his own solar system. Show him flight, and then spaceflight. show him one of thousands of Hubble's images, explain how far our understanding of the sciences has come and how far we have yet to go. Show him your cell phone with a world's worth of information at your fingertips. Tell him about dna sequencing, genetic therapy.
The world of today is practically an alien world compared to 200 years ago... Will we be able to download our brain in such time... the fact that we can imagine it now means that it's probably going to happen.
You seem to be omitting the part where they use that money to alter the system to favor their acquisition of more wealth, while moaning about the poor with no "skin in the game"
The PC has it's place, but basically when you have near the power of a laptop at your fingertips with broadband speeds, things that you would normally go "check on the computer" just aren't done any more.
Sure when you have work to do you need an actual workstation but the days of the Desktop (Personal Computer) let's not forget what PC stands for... are gone your real "personal computer" sits in your pocket.
If MS really wants to reignite the PC industry they need a compelling reason for you to sit your @#$ down... and take it seriously. In other words, focus on BIG things that your phone just can't do... markets evolve, and companies need to evolve with them. Who would have thought that in 2015, the OS debates would be centering around Google and Apple, and that they would be about MOBILE OS'.... and that MS would be the one that everyone predicts the "Death of" at least in the mobile space.
Interesting that you cite history when arguing your point, but when it comes to information to the contrary, "collected data doesn't go back far enough" to provide a conclusive pattern.
This is our culture of fear and ignorance blossoming!
We have a society which ostracizes the individual in favor of group think. Anyone not conforming to the pre-defined mold is immediately cast as suspect, ridiculed and shunned. Some of these individuals will take this negative energy and overcome adversity. Others will snap and go on killing sprees.
Acceptance should be pushed in schools, Get to know people because I can guarantee you no person (group thinker or loner) is the person they are viewed as on the surface. I understand that this is a fight against our animal nature, but what virtue isn't?
Fear is a major problem we have here in America. Though there is a large segment who would balk at that assertion. That fear is due in part to our geographical isolation. We simply don't have the daily exposure to different cultures and peoples and everyone fears things they do not understand.
"Try and prove I'm not god."
Proving a negative is not possible... However I would be quite interested in hearing your proof ("I can prove with proof") that atheism is correct.
I'm pretty agnostic, so proof is definitely something in which I am interested!
Our "awareness" is very like composed of a hierarchy of smaller "awareness" components... put enough of them together and you'll have something that's either as aware as you or a perfect representation of your awareness.

Dude, I'll bet you are a BLAST to be around! You're the personification of a wet blanket!

How do you propose these be accomplished?

That's fine, but you have to tread carefully when you start talking about "fair" and socio-economics...
"you definitely have the class warfare/envy shtick down," ..and you have the "you're just jealous" mantra down.

Let's give the conspiracy theorists some BUZZ LIGHTYEAR ROCKET FUEL!!!!
..I'm sorry, are corporations NOT people in this instance?
Shame too many people think the government is some sort of magic purse.
Unless you're a corporate "person" in which case it most certainly IS a magic purse.
Equally interesting is the two websites hosting your charts... what did you do, pull them straight from your PR department?
Interesting that you cite history when arguing your point, but when it comes to information to the contrary, "collected data doesn't go back far enough" to provide a conclusive pattern.
...but explanations are based on accepted consensus of experts. 9 out of 10 dentists agree.. etc.
Make them solar powered and they can power themselves and run infinitely!

I hope they push the *theory* of sarcastic humor in your institution of choice....

I hope they also push the *theory* of God in their churches....
