So if I find, lets say, a neon blue apple and an apple with a cube shape.. Did I not find two unique apples?
I suppose you could take that a few steps further saying that all apples are unique since none are 100% identical. So I suppose it's all about relativity of perception.
Ironic how you can have multiple unique objects but if you use "unique" as a catergory they all become the same.
This to me looks like it has the equivalent walking ability of a relatively newborn animal. Robotics is definitely progressing to the point of rudimentary natural motor skills.
A decade or two from now with improvements in batteries allowing for stronger and faster motors along with an increased number of quicker processors and you'll have something that will truly resemble natural animal movement. It wasn't that long ago that the pinnacle of robotic movement was stiff and insect like.
Can politicians lay off the whitewashing of bill names? I'd like to request the "Freedom from freedom naming Act" which would mandate that all bills are simply numerically titled, so that for example, politicians and people will actually have to learn about bill #654934792 before voting on it.
I'm really sick of these 'patriotic names' which usually have little or nothing to do with what the bill encompasses,
"Privacy no longer can mean anonymity, says Donald Kerr, the principal deputy director of national intelligence. Instead, it should mean that government and businesses properly safeguard people's private communications and financial information."
Yes, lets 'redfine' privacy to mean "we know what you do, we will just be responsible with the information"
The military does not have a need for propaganda, they've got guns which can be made to make people agree with anything. Politicians however, are a different matter.
You do realize that the military is part of the government right? and that the government is a collection of politicians and bureaucrats correct?
Politicians make the policy, the bureaucrats, follow the policy.
Maybe no one defined the word propoganda to you when you were younger, but in general, propoganda is used to alter the perception of the public for a specific purpose, while reporting is stating what is going on in the world in as objective a manner as possible. (arguments of corporate sponsorship influencing media aside)
Now I'm not saying bias doesn't exist in the various media outlets, but of the two entities (media and military) which has a history of, and a purpose for, propoganda?
Saying that the military is being objective and the media is the propoganda.. that seems to go a bit beyond objectivity.
I know people can live at higher pressures if given time for their bodies to adjust. Does anyone know how much of a low pressure environment a human body can acclimate to?
The first rule of Vista is that you don't talk about Vista.
The second rule of Vista is that you DON'T TALK ABOUT VISTA.
Seems that they're taking the security through obscurity approach when it comes to performance reviews as well. Can't have the public actually KNOWING anything bad.. now can we.
I see you were in the accellerated course program yourself.
My point wasn't to "force" something on a person but rather that getting the degree as fast as is humanly possible tends to detract from the experience necessary to be a well rounded person. Hey, I could be wrong and maybe he's a great guy who isn't a workaholic to an obsessive degree, but chances are, I'm guessing, thats not the case.
Still there's more to college than just classes. It's a persons first step out into the real world managing life on their own. This guy probably spent his life in the dorm and while he may have a stellar record of achievement. He's probably missing out on becoming a person. Might as well just sit this guy down in front of a computer for the rest of his life because one thing is for certain. He won't be doing any social interacting.
Every time I hear "lib" "the left" and capped off with an insult to the poster.. I generally tend to view their post with as much skeptism of bias as they accuse others of having.
"4. Lots of console exclusives to choose from. Pick your poison. Whether you're hot for Mario, Kratos, or Ryu Hayabusa, you'll find their newest releases on consoles. Sure, the PC has some exclusive titles, but sooner or later they'll find their way onto your living room television since that's where the money is at."
Yeah.. lot's of console exlusives.. for DIFFERENT COLSOLES... How about that newest Metal Gear Solid for your X-Box or Wii, or Perhaps you're wanting to play Halo3 on your shiny new PS3. What are you going to do, go out and buy 3 different systems to play all the games you want? I've seen people do it. Point being, consoles have their downside too.
Hopefully everyone interprets it that way...

Here's your real test America!
Will you uphold your ideals if it means losing money? What do you REALLY value?
Actions speak louder than words.
I hope that USAF has their drone skills maxed. It would suck to invest all that only to realize you need (Drones V) and Drone Interfacing maxed out.

Someone needs to tell them that their new 2010 DVD is just a movie.

Like put up Youtube sites depiciting military actions in a positive light?

Hey the government can "correct" all it wants, so long as we're clear that we're talking about the support of "state run media"
Now, if I recall, whenver we hear the term "state run media" it's usually used as a term of discredit.
"The study found that almost $2 Billion a year in productivity was being lost to these 'excessive indulgences'"
How fast does $2 Billion get used in Iraq? I'm all for efficiency, but lets have it across the board.
Not sure if they're still operating, but we have a pirate radio station operating in the Quad-Cities Area on the Mississippi.
Basically their position is that federal regulations state they are able to operate a radio station without license during wartime.
