So what's the difference between setting up a turbine and planting a tree? I seriously doubt that wind turbines will have that much of an effect on wind patterns..even so, can it be any more harmful that what we're doing now with fossil fuels?
Pretty soon my graphics card is going to do more, cost more, heat up more, be louder and use more electricity than the rest of my computer combined.
That is until they move the CPU onto the graphics card... make the graphics card the motherboard.. and start making peripherals to take the workload of your all in one motherboard...

Quit rationalizing theft and just accept the fact that in a free-market system the price of something is set by the level of demand for that thing.
I think that was in relation to supply if I'm not mistaken...
What is the fair value when the supply is for all practical purpose instantaneous and infintely repeatable?

sans, profit.
After all if the parent poster wants to make a broad unrealistic statement about DRM and people stealing then isn't it only fair that I can reply with the same kind of broad unrealistic statement?

...and if corporations would sell things for their real value people wouldn't feel compelled to steal because we would have pretty much everything we could ever want...
Britain or the U.K. is a body under one government therefore in more formal circumstances you are "Britain" however the reality of the situation is that England is by far the most dominant element in the U.K. and in a very intuitive way the U.K. is in fact England and the lands England has assimilated over the centuries... hence you would naturally refer to yourselves and England when it comes to matters of national pride... and I think it's no understatement that soccer *football* is a great matter of national pride for your countrymen.
When you make the simile that it would be like calling the U.S. the "northern hemisphere", I would...I would say that it would me more like calling the U.S., California. Granted that's a poor simile because we here in the U.S. don't have a particular geographic region with the same type of history that England has in relation to the U.K.
I can only imagine that human immune systems wouldn't be ready for diseases brought by alien races.
If an alien race is advanced enough to travel here, I'm sure they're advanced enough to realize the inherent risk of a totally alien disease. Hell, we're not even that advanced (as the scenario goes) and WE are aware of it to a great degree.

Of course, people here will continue to flame Gates as if he is CEO, continue to say what a greeding person he is and ignore the intern's journal, or say that the intern is a Microsoft employee."
With all due respect to your opinion, the same thing has been said about Hitler and members of his Nazi party. Just because a person is nice to his family and friends does not necessarily equate to a good person. A man is not judged by how he treats his friends and equals, but how he treats his "inferiors".
To ask what it would take for the widespead adoption of ebooks is almost analagous to asking what it would take for the widespread adoption of digital art over the traditional mediums.
Traditional mediums have a feel of "permanence" to them, while digital media has a much more "transient" and temporary feel.
You might find wider acceptance to ebooks with the use of electronic paper, fooling out minds into thinking that we're reading actual permanent type, but that, IMHO is as close as we will get.
This is where redundancy comes into play. The more redundant the system the less likely such a scenario is to take place. On the other hand it also increases cost and complexity of the system.
However IMHO redundancy whether it be mirrored hard drives or paper records is a plus in my book when it comes to elections. After all elections are kind of important to our system of government and is one area where skimping probably isn't a good idea...
Actually it's herself portraying a character.. The character shouldn't be a representation of her but rather she a representation of the character and hence have no say in how others portray the same character.

hopefully there at least won't be any commercials, but I'm not holding my breath.
I'm not the one who modded you down, but I am the one you consider a troll. My comments were extremely mild, and we're expressed with civility with a logical comparison between the perception of MS and the perception of the U.S.
Personally, I fail to see how that is a troll... offtopic *maybe*, but if you think that's a troll statement then you are most likely a little too sensitive.
