Homosexuity persists because most biologist labor under the misapprehension that DNA is the only operative reproducing data set.
In fact, humans are a double set -- DNA and memes in your head. The memes, in this case, i.e. social pressure, kept gay DNA reproducing with females. Thus the combined DNA/meme package continued to reproduce.
Now the meme half of that is disappearing and gay DNA is being left on its own to reproduce. Maybe some memes will step up to the plate -- e.g. hiring Francine from American Dad, or sperm donations.
Or maybe the DNA will start to evolve itself out.
Makes no difference, really. In thousands of years the Omega point will have occurred, or high tech war or accident will have killed us, so we will never know.
One way or the other, memes will win in the end and DNA will be left behind.
I would like to say at least dealing in the realm of free speech was an improvment, astroturfing included, if that same government weren't also engaged in the arrest and murder of journalists and political opponents, and weren't engaged in general control of other media.
You can show someone a pile of reproducable scientific papers a mile high, and show him a couple of testimonials, and the human mind wants to believe the latter every time.
As it repurposes garbage or sewage or whatever, if it at least profits a little it's worth it. Efficiency really matters when you're constructing a process out of whole cloth.
Of more concern to me is the CO2 rate per unit of electricity. If it's as bad as coal or worse, I don't know if robbing Peter to pay Paul is worth it. Best to stick with cheap, much lower emission natural gas.
Interesting. There was a time, not so long ago where a low 6-figure salary made you the enemy. Some of you are probably getting bit in the balls by the Alternative Minimum Tax, passed and never indexed to inflation, because a handful of evil rich in the 60s used legal tax loopholes to vastly redce or eliminate their tax.
"Well, honey, you see, umm, my old habits, well, it turns I was so damned good with the one-handed dice-shaking motion, there was this natural synergy with D&D..."
It doesn't (aside from perhaps failing to get boosters.)
Indeed we need to continue to loudly point out these things. One of the fraudulent distortions of the anti-vax crowd is heir claim that disease rates were going down anyway.
Fair enough. Now they're going back up, and only in the unvaccinated. Convinced, yet?
Vaccine works as claimed: Check Herd immunity protecting the few unvaccinated theory: Check Critical mass for disease spread theory: Check Not using vaccines is safe: Uncheck
j/k Jesus could come down and pee a rainbow with a name on it and I'd still make up my own mind. Actually, I'd probably vote opposite just to piss Yahweh off.
I never expected Google to be a company that cheaply jumps on the latest fad that blows by.

When people can be secure in the product of their labor, to sell as they see fit, it's called competition, and is the source of the power of farming.
When they are not, it's called looting, and is the source of failed civilization and living in the wilds as a hunter/gatherer.

> and a Terrier-Improved Malemute sounding-rocket launch
Can someone parse this sentence?
A dog-improved dog that sounds like a barking dog rocket, wut? I gave up after going about 4 clicks deep.
Be careful. If you overdo it, you'll kill billions by inducing an ice age. There's evidence these can come on in as few as a couple of years.
Global warming is moving in from the seas over 100-300 years. Nobody dies.
Even WWII will fade relatively and the first thing remembered will be the walk on the moon.
Selection of non-military may have been purposeful.
I don't believe they have a problem with people who purchase these things.
It's those who copy it around without paying the copyright holder that's their issue.
I would never install an app that detected when I was driving and shut

1. Sorry, Democrats. You snooze, you loose. Patron saint Al Gore's wife Tipper, anyone? This almost held sway.
2. Yey libertarian! MOAR!!!!!
Outta the bedroom and outta the wallet!

They can give them modern names, too.
Anyone wanna try out my Cleveland Steamer?
I thought this was the result of re-analysis of old samples, and that that was (?) allowed by the rules. Apparently not.
Welcome to the advanced science of the witch trial.
If the old king would have abused the power, we, the free people of the US, need to prevent its use withot a warrant.
Shame on people who think otherwise. You don't deserve the vote in a free society.

WTF is the government doing sticking its nose into negotiations over payments for music royalties to begin with?
Aside from pandering to voters, that is.
From the threads on 4chan, it's apparent lots of people are paying through Facebook already.
In both cases, the Spartan look is born of cheapness, not coolness. Sparse fixtures and display cases don't cost much.
That the product turned out hot was the bonus.
God! Tell me which way to vote!

Not sure it would help much here. Most rock writers are still alive, and the number at dead + 20 years or whatever it is you can count on one hand.
