I was a hardcore D2 gamer, almost failed out of college because of that game, and I've been looking forward to D3 Very Much.
But real money? No. I play games as an escape from thinking about things like my bank account.

I think it is because of D2 that you have to play games to not think about your bank account... maybe if you controlled your addiction you wouldn't be in that situation ;-) /sarcasm

I will admit that when I buy a game, I don't want to be repaying it over and over.
I understand paying for WoW, but with TF2 becoming a micro-transaction game where now servers can kick you if you don't own any hats to trade, then the game stops being fun.... I hope D3 doesn't become like this... requiring you to be part of something that has nothing to do with the gameplay...

  4. The article does help clarifying the differences.. on Analyzing Long-Term SSD Failure Rates · · Score: 1

THG did a good job separating the cause of 'failures' between SSDs and HDDs as I get asked a lot by potential customers the differences between the two.

SSD is a whole other ball field and, personally, I'm more HDD biased than SSD.

I still see SSDs as a brand new technology that has yet to normalize as much as HDDs have in the past 15 years. However, the article does make me realize that SSDs really won't normalize as much as HDDs have due to how vastly different they work. So, I'll have to give SSDs some slack in future customer builds.

In the beginning, the issue with SSDs were the write speed, but now the focus in this sector is on the controller chip (ie. Sandforce) more than the storage medium (SLC vs MLC) the SSD uses.
It looks like having the SSD/HDD combo in a PC is still the best way to go until the storage chips drop considerably.

I think in reality it's more children than they can legally have... at least having them all together.... China, last I checked, limited the number children parents can have to at least one or two children (twins) and encouraged more women than boys.

Addiction might have been the catalyst to sell them but with that law, anyone caught with more than two kids will go to jail or if they are pregnant with a third child, they can get detained and induce an abortion.

Maybe China is out-sourcing their hackers over to there so as to draw attention away from China and simply grow their cyber-attack force.
