Nope, if they do it right it will replace your social security # for things like getting into school, and taxes and the other bagillion things you use your ss # for.

Your social security # was never meant for a national id, and our country was in such a desperate need of one and the ss # just became the way.

I thought about that too. But if something needed to be cut, it was probably best. Since there's no singing in the movie it was smart to cut Tom. The part with Tom Bombadil had the most singing in the entire series.

Huge company's remind their employee's all the time not to foward email. Especailly in important emails. However this email was over board from the norm. There isn't a specific part that makes me think this email is false, but its the tone. The tone of this email sounds like its directed to a bunch of Junior High kids, but than again..

Yeah, I remember that hack being quite popular for a bit. It seemed a little short lived to me (maybe I just found out a bout it later than everyone else). The sysops seemed to wise up pretty quick and plug the whole.

What would be a fun comparison though is how long it took, and how the info was sent on security updates to bbs software packages compared to os and web server security updates.

Well, on all the major articles where the headlines humiliate the company, because it was broken into. What always stood out was the fact that they stored all the customers info in a plain text file with out encryption.

Every article roasted the company over that specific problem the most. I think the reason why is its more excusable to to have a whole somewhere in your network, but there is just no excuse for not encrypting the files.

I know there some already on Freshmeat.net, I've been meaning to check out some of them out once I have time.

You know, I hope this doesn't sound to flammy. But I don't see how anyone can get excited about Mozilla or IE when Opera is out there.

Mozilla is finally being competitive? No, I don't think its even in the same leauge as Opera. First off I've tried running Mozilla on windows and on Linux. It crashed less on Linux than it did on windows. Which still doesn't say much. I lost tons of email on the windows version. That pissed me off like crazy.

so on with Opera. I'm ADDICTED to gesture movements. To go back, stop, fowarded or reload, all I have to do is right click flick the mouse in a direction and bam the page is loaded. I use it so much that if I try using an other browser I'll do a gesture movement out of habbit, and when nothing happens I'm like "What hell" It really makes the other browsers seem like a piece of shit.

Plus the best feature for Opera contains all the pages loaded within the program itself. There are all sorts of other tricks. Like you can lock it on full screen mode, which would be handy if you had a cyber cafe and only wanted your customers to have acces to web browsing. Plus there a tons of short cuts. CTRL-J is a handy one the will bring all the links on the page your on into one tiny window.

Damn I can't say enough good things about that browser.
