    And it isn't like they are giving away $1 billion in cash. They are giving away the worth of the costs of CDs enough to store software worth $1 billion.

    Might be they understand them, but deem them 'not sufficient'. I have yet to hear a reasonable pro-war reason. All things considered, this is still an unnecessary war, imho.

    And, your arguments may also be applied to many pro-war individuals, for that matter.

    When all 10 shots have been fired, the magazine/ barrel is simply ejected and a new, loaded barrel is installed, using a quick-release lever. The empty barrel (held in place by a clip that permits rapid removal and replacement) is returned to the dealer for reloading. It's virtually impossible for ordinary users to make or reload the uniquely coded, caseless ammunition.


    Yes, oranized crime will probably find a way of getting ammo anyway, but it should hopefully stop your average hoodlum.

    I think freedom of speech fares better in EU than in US right now, constitutional rights or not.

    Only 67 years between two bicycle mechanics essentially playing with a kite to walking on the moon! That boggles the mind!

    I like to think that once technology is mature, it will not take long until someone find a way of using it in a new brilliant way. (Wonder from whom I stole this philosophy?)

    In the case of going from groking avionics to "walking on the moon", the step is not that big, even for 67 years. It just takes a hell of a lot of resources (intellectual, monetray and material) beeing concentrated in that limited amount of time. The plenty of resources were given by two world wars and a cold one.

    Wonder where we would have been today if it weren't for 2 x WW + cold war?

    Yes, iirc there were such problems, but not very much.

    I think another major concern was that PCL, because of operating around 30 MHz, might interfere with existing networks, such as military, shipping and air traffic communication networks. Some shortwave radio amateurs also claimed their hobby might get crushed if PLC become widespread.

    I can give you that 400 degrees celsius is pretty hot, but the owen in my apartment manages 300 degrees celsius, which is 75% of the talked about heat. I am not an expert with white goods, but an owen with the extra 25% capacity required for a 400 degrees celsius temprature might very well exist.
