You're right. Lets get rid of 90 % of the military. Keep some of the Air Force(you'll see why in a minute) and all the nukes(see where this is heading?). And any time something happens where we would normally send troops. Lets just send a few jets with nukes and wipe the place out. Saves us TONS of money. And something tells me after the first time we intervened we would no longer need to.

Also SS/Disability are essentially the same thing, and its something you pay for, at least if you have ever had a job in your life.

Hell I couldn't even receive unemployment because when I got let go I'd been working two jobs, so the state said my part time side job should more than cover the $5k/month loss from my main job.

I would assume part of the issue with you losing your job was having the second job. Which probably caused your productivity to drop at your main job. I see it all the time in the construction field. And I have had to let people go as a result of doing exactly what you claim to have done.

Yes the phone systems are a rip off in prison. It sucks ass.

    2) The issue with inmate communication is directing criminal activities from inside jails.
All they need are pre-arrange code words to change the positive (if obscenely priced)
communications with family into an ability to run gangs from behind bars.

This can be done with any form of communication. So you have one option, stop all communication with the outside world. I can tell you that is not a good option. Yes I have been to prison unfortunately.

So joe shmo engineer can't just make a copy of it and start selling it. Especially in the world of "app stores" be it google or apple. I honestly don't care I use my phone to talk/text and occasionally look something up on the internet at work, I can do all of that with any phone on the market. Any time I need heavy lifting I pull my 7 year old laptop out of my backpack and do whatever it is I needed more power for. I have never worked directly for a large corporation so I don't really know what their needs are. I do however figure they would have the skill and resources to make whatever they needed on any platform. I would also expect companies like Google and Facebook to know what they were doing is risky and that they agreed to take that risk to get that sweet user data.

I don't think you realize how quick shit like that makes it around the underworld of the internet. So I personally think they should take multiple avenues for protection, but at the same time I couldn't care less because I would never allow someone else to control the "security" of my home.
