Public money that may have been invested will be lost. Irresponsible politicians will deflect the damage on someone else. People will not learn to ignore unwarranted hype.
And what do you exactly mean by "failed". With my supernatural powers, I predict it will fail to setup a working supersonic (maglev) train running in a vacuum tube between any two (major) cities in the world.
Who would use the mail box of the office for something personal ? At our day and time, the smartphone is more than enough for the odd 3 lines messages for emergencies. If you need more, do it at home, not on your company's dime.
Natural Stupidity leading to World War seems fare more realistic and much closer. Could we do something about our various imbeciles in power before we look at some hypothetical AI threat? We've been plagued by these idiots for a while now and they are spreading.
You will not notice anything using a recent CPU, the gain is insubstantial. As you said : the RAM, the graphical card and the disks are what matters most.
The problem depicted in this post is that some people consider having so many channels like a need.
Netflix OR HBO OR [put any other service here] has plenty of content by itself, especially in the US. As a bonus some of these services do not infect your mind with advertising (one could consider this an aggression)
There is not enough time on a day to watch everything except of course if one has nothing better to do all day.
Call us again when it reaches high velocity (somebody said 1220kph / 760mph ?).
Then call us when somebody breaks the vacuum while the vehicle moves at that speed so we see how safe it is. (Preferably from a distance, while an internal camera films dummies turning to mush)
Who would be stupid enough to form a political-oriented group in a company ? It's bound to bring tensions. It's counter-productive, It hurts the job.
It's even more true for an obtuse group defending the right to have powerful weapons freely available for all (or in a big picture point of view: the right to kill relatives, oneself, or fellow students by firearms). I find Jeffries gives a very good, and sarcastic, view on the subject.
There was a Stargate SG1 episode where they were reluctantly trying to make a movie. There were several kind of parodies like the Wizard of Oz, Farscape,... One was a 'teenager' spin, unanimously rejected by the team. This trailer I feels the same to me.
All I saw was bad/over acting, several 'poseur' scenes there just to look 'cool' (for teenagers) and a few screams.
When I think 'Star Trek', I think TNG, OG or even Voyager : not J.J. Abrams, not this.
I really hope I'm wrong, but with the current productions mind set, as far as Star Trek is concerned, I can only quote this one:
Not to forgot Vulkan ?
(I bought one as a X1 test machine)
Did you mean to use "air rushes in" as an euphemism for "implodes" ?
Nothing will happen.

I specifically said "3 lines for emergencies" : life happens (or death, as the case may be).
Taking more than a a minute is where I draw the line.
But maybe you have a different perception of what construes an emergency.

RAID 1 or 10, never 5 again.
So you say interest is based on hype, not on content ?
I certainly hope not.
I loved the first instance of the game (played about 30 hours).
This update made me restart a new game.
This is nothing special.

After that lt's see where it goes.

Where are my mod points when I need them ^_^
The last Mac I'll buy for the foreseeable future.
Even the craziest Apple fans I know are hesitating to upgrade their desktop and laptops. They still use the phones though.
Thank you : I mis-modded a post a while ago and didn't think of this way to erase it.
Science does not discriminates, and "positive" discrimination hinders science.
Expensive and unreliable are the two first words that come to mind for IBM.
I've got enough : I don't want to work with IBM products anymore either.
It was.
You are probably more exited about the show that you would be if you watched that deplorable trailer.
Indeed. Using a name and betraying its spirit just shows how little they understand its nature and its appeal.
And thanks for the two suggestions. I'll take a look.

It's dead, Jim.
This was meant as sarcasm. We just had news about Apple's new patents.
But I know it does not translates properly in text, so I guess it's on me.
That's what the patent office is for.
I need air, water and food, in that order.
Next stupid question.
