    Nothing will happen.

Public money that may have been invested will be lost.
Irresponsible politicians will deflect the damage on someone else.
People will not learn to ignore unwarranted hype.

And what do you exactly mean by "failed".
With my supernatural powers, I predict it will fail to setup a working supersonic (maglev) train running in a vacuum tube between any two (major) cities in the world.

At our day and time, the smartphone is more than enough for the odd 3 lines messages for emergencies.
If you need more, do it at home, not on your company's dime.

The problem depicted in this post is that some people consider having so many channels like a need.

Netflix OR HBO OR [put any other service here] has plenty of content by itself, especially in the US.
As a bonus some of these services do not infect your mind with advertising (one could consider this an aggression)

There is not enough time on a day to watch everything except of course if one has nothing better to do all day.

  9. RAID 1 or 10, never 5 again.

  10. So you say interest is based on hype, not on content ?
    I certainly hope not.

Call us again when it reaches high velocity (somebody said 1220kph / 760mph ?).

Then call us when somebody breaks the vacuum while the vehicle moves at that speed so we see how safe it is. (Preferably from a distance, while an internal camera films dummies turning to mush)

After that lt's see where it goes.

It's bound to bring tensions. It's counter-productive, It hurts the job.

It's even more true for an obtuse group defending the right to have powerful weapons freely available for all (or in a big picture point of view: the right to kill relatives, oneself, or fellow students by firearms). I find Jeffries gives a very good, and sarcastic, view on the subject.

There was a Stargate SG1 episode where they were reluctantly trying to make a movie. There were several kind of parodies like the Wizard of Oz, Farscape, ... One was a 'teenager' spin, unanimously rejected by the team.
This trailer I feels the same to me.

All I saw was bad/over acting, several 'poseur' scenes there just to look 'cool' (for teenagers) and a few screams.

When I think 'Star Trek', I think TNG, OG or even Voyager : not J.J. Abrams, not this.

I really hope I'm wrong, but with the current productions mind set, as far as Star Trek is concerned, I can only quote this one:
