oh, come on. Do you really think that congress would let this happen? Do you really think nasa wants this?

i've seen it before. Congress asks a department to cut their budget. The department makes up some outrageous scheme, and says it's the only way they can work within said budget. Congress decides they can't let it happen, and the department gets a little more cash.

Of corse, if they were to sell them, they should sell to the Department of Defense. Just slap a few machine guns on the front of it, and they will buy a dozen of 'em...

By God, I don't see the wonder of these wonder weapons. Killing by remote control, nothing is reaffirmed. The day is quickly coming where our troops will be safely hidden in a bunker somewhere while we wipe out the enemy with a joystick.

But, what will this prove? Sure, we could kill a few more bad guys... But If the cause isn't worth dieing for, is it really worth killing for? Will this help make the world a better place, or will this just provide a way for the few to control the many?

They were voted into place to represent the people who could have voted for them. What is best for the people in their state has little to do with your opinion on any matter.

This is the same conclusion that Apple came to long ago. The game is NOT world dominance. The game is to continue to be a player.

Why do you suggest stopping the missle defense shield? Do you think it's possable to get rid of ALL the terorist groups? That would mean declaring war on ALL third world countries, and then every country that envies us... Genocide. Unless there is a change in the world social structure, there will always be the "have"'s and the "have-not"'s. The have-nots will always hate the haves. They will always lash out against the have's.

If anything, we need MORE national defense. We need that missle shield NOW. When these rogue nations get their hands on long range weapons, do you think they will hesitate one moment to use them? Once they have a missle in the air, how do you propose we stop it?

I might be wrong, but last I heard, this isn't a CURE for aids. This is just delaying the agony. Even worse, the people on the drugs might believe they are healthy, and have a greater chance of infecting others.

Is this worth breaking international law?

If we were talking about a cure, something that could wipe out all AIDS in the country, maybe then I would side with the people, and say "Break the law". But now, this is just a short term improvement in how the ill will live, and I think the drug company has the right to charge for it.
