    I'm posting this under the first post, to let people know the flagrant abuse Microsoft are giving their customers.

    It's not like Microsoft let you change the settings, or anything..

    I mean, geez, why didn't make an obvious heading of "Privacy and Friends", perhaps under a sensible "Family Settings/XBox Live Controls" main header, so that parents can control what other people can tell about their kids?

    Damn Microsoft.

    Being a Windows admin, it *really* irks me that applications demand MSSQL 2000, rather than a SQL compatible DB server :/

    Clearly you haven't seen the "lite" version he pointed to, as you'd know everything works extremely well together.

    Plus you're not comparing apples to apples - to compare Windows 2003 Std/Ent/Whatever to Linux, you should compare it to something like what the Debian Net Install CD provides once installed..

    Uhh, no. They don't have guns here.

    Well, to be fair, that's all they ever said it was going to be.

    Just a way to show off what the HL2 engine could do :)

    Lost Coast got hyper up so much when the screenshots came out.. Still looking forward to it though.

    You sir, should receive mod points.

    You should never accept a counter offer - the company you WERE going to has almost certainly already notified all the other candidates, so won't think much of you abandoning them. The company you currently work for now knows where your priorities lie. You may well be the first to go if they have a round of layoffs.

    You'll have broken the trust of TWO companies, "closing doors" if you will.

    Would you go buy a hydrogen powered car for your next one? No, because only a handful of stations sell hydrogen right now.

    Would you buy bluray/hddvd? Not if your favourite films arent available for it.

    Buying a camera - SD, CF, MS? Doesn't matter because nearly all shops stock ALL kinds of memory!

    And even that's ignoring the fact the CD will long since have self destructed, decaying away..
