It wasn't terribly fast, but once I read that it'd be available, I charged up a few extra batteries for my flight from Chicago to Copenhagen (SAS Airlines).
Also keep in mind that most airlines have power outlets in their higher-class seats. Some even have them in every seat. Check out http://www.seatguru.com/ to see the ammenities in various airlines' planes.
I even used a softphone (Cisco IP Communicator) and made a phone call from the flight! Sure, there was about a second of lag, but people around me were pretty amazed (even an SAS pilot sitting next to me - he had never seen such a thing..).
I paid the $30 for 8 hours of service and would gladly do it again.
At my employer, the option of expensing cell phones & broadband is up to each manager's discretion. In my department, if you are willing to put your cell phone into the corporate directory, they will pay for the service (within reason, of course). I telecommute on Fridays and therefore my manager allows me to expense my broadband. I also have a router providing hardware VPN and an IP phone at home.
Think how much more money the company could make if they sold a.PDF of the book for $9.99?

...Which I plan on taking back to Fry's. It's a neat toy, but not yet practical- I rarely drive out of my metropolitan area. I fly or ride my motorcycle. No need to listen to a radio station cross-country.
I drive a fairly nice car and I don't want to hack it up to wire this thing in.. besides, the receiver looks really ugly stuck to your dash. I already keep my Garmin GPS V on my dash...
I think I'll trade up to an Envision 17" LCD. Does anyone have one of these? The reviews look good, I'm just wondering if any of you have real-world experience. My 17" Trinitron has been in use for at least 4 years and I've never really desired anything bigger...

Other than a 10-15 minute hold time, their customer service reps were always polite knowledgeable geeks that helped me immediately.
My 1.1 SDSL has been rock solid for over a year now.
