    I think that overall, there are just too many languages to learn. Ruby may be great, but why bother learning it if it won't get you any jobs or improve the results?

    With FreeBSD, companies may convert the source code into a commercial product without airing the changes or additions they have made.

    The BSD license is the main reason Microcrap yoinked the TCP stack. It is not the same as the GPL, and hence they are right in saying it doesn't fall under the same category.

    Of course, I too have a beef with the market share comment...

    I recall when I had a customer call me complaining that her friend couldn't e-mail her.

    I had just become Sys-Admin, and so I poked around for a while before I discovered that ORBS blocked our mail server. I found the open relay, closed it, and reported it as such.

    End of story. Things were fixed. Everyone could e-mail, and I had fixed a potential spam problem. ORBS simply helped the stress load on various mail servers around the world, and kept sys-admins on their toes. If you had an open relay, YOU DESERVED TO BE BLOCKED.

    People need to learn from these things instead of suing the living crap out of each other.

    I've read half the posts now, and... jeez. Yes, it filters mail and protects you while you're surfing. Ever occur to anybody that you can be anonymous on irc as well without a bouncer?

    This basically gives anyone trying to scan/etc you one hell of a time. I beta tested version 2, and I thought it was really good, personally.
    I was just waiting on my new credit card to order a version myself. (SERIOUSLY)

    Linux version wasn't so nice... I agree. But it had so much potential. They just needed more time. This is not cool.

    I wonder why a freeware, non-bloated version of Realplayer hasn't been made.

    Please, people, don't tell me that it is a proprietary format; it hasn't stopped people before.

    The Real freeware player installed so much crap that I refuse to ever install it again, no matter how much I want to hear anything.
