I'm a long-time Opera user. There is now a good adblock extension in Opera, enough to where I've switched my daughter to Opera, and getting ready to push my wife onto it, I'll let her test drive it for a while before pulling the plug on Firefox. Other extensions I can't address, since I'm not a big Firefox user--just enough to set it up for the family and get adblock installed.
I was visiting family not long ago, and my sister needed some component. I told her you can get it on NewEgg for $5, but she needed it now, and paid $20 at Best Buy. It was a defiling experience being in there and paying through the nose for a small piece of junk.
I bought Silent Hunter V, which was my introduction to this draconian slavery scheme. So I ditched Ubisoft, and now I don't have to deal with shifting heavy chains around like old Jacob Marley.
But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist. -- Lysander Spooner
The only super-glossy thing I have is a new keyboard--a Microsoft sidewinder. I got it because it's illuminated. First thing I noticed: after no time at all, it looks crappy because of dust.
Blew up my video driver when I hit a mostly-text site. Lucky for me Windows 7 restarts it gracefully, but while the screen was black I was Waiting for BSOD.
Titanic going down, replace the captain? That's how a committee / board thinks.
Birds of a feather screw the add-on devs together.

Your monster is running amok.
Pattern Recognition is good? Why, isn't that often called "stereotyping", or "racism"??
C'mon, Bill, do you really expect us to fall for that AGAIN?
Lucy, football, Charlie Brown. It must be fall.
There must be a hidden synergy in there somewhere.
Google's slogan "Don't Be Evil" isn't the same as "Don't Do Evil".
Here all along I thought we were a cut above the rest. Now we're idiots if we don't pony up. He's sounding like Steve Ballmer.
Sorry, I screwed up moderation...
I'm embarrassed, I didn't read TFA.

But there's also a cost in moving all your stuff over to the new machine and getting the new one just the way you like it.
Thanks to /.--not just Rob but all the good commenters.
Nice to see all the old-timers gathered...

I'm wiping Firefox entirely off computers at home, just can't be bothered to deal with a high-maintenance broad, er, browser.
That all the arguing in the community is what is holding Linux back is itself a tired old argument.
The government will stab you in the back. Globalist multinationals will stab you in the front. It's a two-headed monster.

I just tried Opera: 100/100. Firefox 4: 97/100. IE9: 13/100? Hard to tell, it was so jumbled.

This is Slashdot. Don't worry, we've already not read the article.
The EU is an abuse of its citizens. That's why people are calling it the EUSSR.
