There is no way that the RIAA can expect the campuses to block all filesharing, and whatever isn't blocked will become the new norm. College students are especially conservative with wasting money on music, and with plenty of intelligent computer gurus around, even the most technophobic students will get friends to hook them up with free music.
In short, the students will always remain one step ahead of the filtering.
That link does not appear to be advertisement related in any way. Google randomly rotates certain block of IP addresses to have modified links on their search results so Google can track outgoing hits. It's like that the submitter just Googled for Virgin Galactic URL and didn't bother to notice that he had a modified link.
Conctact some projects you deem worthy of recieving the box. Since shipping is impractical unless they feel like dropping the money, you should try to find someone in a reasonably close area (you mentioned Peensylvania, shoudn't be a big prob) that would be willing to pick it up. I know I wouldn't mind a few hours of drive time for a box, especially something like yours that isnt a piece of junk.
The point is so that you can use one identity to comment on multiple blogs, even if they aren't run on the same service. Right now I have a blogger, livejournal, and xanga account, all of which I use solely for commenting. If each of these implemented OpenID, only one would be necessary.
I would strongly advise against this, seeing as you may forget some of the code in there is from the GPL.
If you do go ahead and do something like this, make sure to explicitly mark sections (or individual lines) of code with comments reminding you its GPLed. Also consider putting a discting word in these comments, so you can do a search on all the project files to identify GPLed sections.
Based on the terms of the RH license, someone can take a stable, tested build of RHEL and redistributite it for free (in both senses of the word), so he wont have to "'waste time' on trouble shooting any OS that is less than stable."
In America we have relatively cheap plane travel to anywhere in the continental US. Despite many privacy concerns about the current state of air travel in the US, flying is still one of the cheapest (for the distance) and safest methods of transportation around. Still, competition from the rail industry would likely be a good thing, opening more options up, and eventually lowering prices.
Why not combine the two (descriptive variable names and comments) for the most readable and understandable form. As the code developes, more and more documentation will be required to make the code less and less confusing.
The American cellphone industry is out of date because of one fact: we have a near pefect landline system. Whereas Africa, Asia, and parts of Europe have horrible horrible phone service (in Nigeria theres about 50% downtime, even in oil company compounds).
Ever travelled to Italy?
Within 100ft of the border (from Switzerland), our trained was stopped, and armed (HK MP5s) officers went to every car and checked every passport.
And this was 6 years ago, so stop complaining about Europes 'openness'.
Although, some countries in Europe wouldn't stamp your passport if you paid them to.
I suggest to anyone interested in social engineering (defending or attacking) to read to the book 'The Art of Deception' by Kevin Mitnick, the hacker god himself.
So you expect parents to always be monitoring their when their watching tv. What happens when the parents leave the house? What happens when theirs a segment on the news covering a local carnival, that suddenly switches over the footage from a strip bar? What happens when little Billy accidently hits the numbers for Nickelodeon wrong and ends up seeing boobies?
In short, the students will always remain one step ahead of the filtering.
What happens when someone registers http://localhost/ ?

That would be a matter of slashdot's RSS policy (30 min between checks), not Google's fault.

you just misspelled qwerty... sad because that is probably the easiest word to type on a keyboard
Apparently it is OK to record TV as long as your aren't sharing it.
When has it not been this way?
Recording something you can legally watch = fair use rights
Sharing copyrighted works = copyright infringement

You don't have to use a layout manager. You can easily call setLayoutManager(null), and then use coords to place everything in the frame.

Apple did a good job of this with the iPod. There is no power cord for it, just a firewire AC adapter and a firewire cable.

Card has stated that there are contractual obligations to leave the ages as they are in the book.
How is "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" not different from having a law against murder yet having capital punishment?
Too bad iPods don't have line out connections.
Google almost always compresses code this (look at the source for google suggest or google maps).

In order to use GAIM (on the AIM service) you have to sign up for an AIM account, which involves agreeing to the terms.
