    They're trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist, there's a big difference between progress and changing something and calling it modern just to line your wallet.

    I tried Edge once (to download Firefox) and it just gave me a white page like it was incompatible or something. Safari seems clumsy and slow. IE *is* dead. Chrome sends everything you type to Google, so not comfortable with that. Chromium may be an option, but I don't think it offers many advantages over Firefox. Furthermore, Firefox works in a consistent way on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Not sure what you think people are going to switch to.

    Slimjet is a good chromium based alternative browser.

  14. That's false, I've got a Mac mini running server duties for several years on OSX mavericks, nothing is ever forced with updates on Mac, just go into preferences and turn updates off, very easy.

  15. I own a lot of apple devices and I've never had any of them auto update.

  16. Windows 10 is absolutely horrible and represents the pinnacle of Microsoft arrogance and contempt for the consumer. The best thing to do is stay on 7 or upgrade to windows 7 like millions of other users are doing according to netmarketshare. Or find a good Linux distro, windows is definitely on its way out altogether.

    I've lived there, it is real communism, it's just not nearly as bad as some other countries.

    Agreed 100%, they pretty much ignored everyone during the windows 8 beta test and with windows 10 they ignore you if you don't follow their agenda, that's probably the biggest reason feedback is not being used, why waste the effort?
