ok dude, gotta go FUCK your mom....
props to my dead homies
its actually a bit more difficult than that. My friend made the jump about 3 years ago. You have to train yourself to not analyze every bit of code (that would take forever) just because you did not do it. You put your trust in the coder.
if microsoft turns into the gatekeeper of the internet, i think its safe to say that gate will turn into the gateway to hell, thus:
Microsoft will become the gateway to hell!
on a serious note, i see this very possible if microsoft can coordinate its.net strategy with the passport services. Do we have another AOL on our hands? Say it aint so.
you made the comment that we may be terrorists to them.
I see no other nation in the world putting forth as much aid to the rest of the world as we do. We are the most powerful country in the world. Therefore we help the most people. Granted, there are other "influnces" that drive the government to do what it does. If we were to withdrawl everything from the Middle east, things would fall apart. People just look at the negitive aspects of what we do. Everything is a big "what if" when it comes to speculation, therefore it is hard to say what would happen if we left the "homeland" as bin laden puts it. I believe that would give "rogue nations" such as Iran or Iraq more freedom to terrorize the ppl of the middle east, develop nuclear and chemical weapons, etc etc etc. We are messing with a double edged sword here. I belive we are using the dull end as we speak, the Middle East without a referee would be a scary place.
Although I agree with most of your post, the end is where I will have to voice my opinion
Do you honestly thing that these terrorists are going to sit around and think about what they did, then feel remorse? NO. They will do this again and again and again as long as they have the means to do so. That is how they are. They do not have the capability to think a rational thought for themselves. They have been taught to hate Americans since they were born. Terrorists do not want peace, they want their views heard, and they feel this is the only way to do it. If they made peaceful decisions (like you hope) they would be called soemthing else than TERRORists
I do not support the killing of innocent people, but I do support the "justice" (which can include killing) that will be had when we find and deal with these people.
considering that my box is cobbled up with duct tape and random drill holes in the case, you never know when you will need extra cables, etc. I keep an extra box in tact, up and running so I know I have something that will "work" (however crappy it will be)
another idea is setting up a comp for "entertainment purposes"
my old p2 is now my dvd/mp3 player, with the correct ammount of ram, and right vid card, you can run it to your tv, and your stereo system.....
no, the thing that will scare people from mail is exactly that, the scare. Most users of/. are slightly more educated and not paranoid than the general public. If you go up to the shopping mom in the supermarket, she will tell you about a picture of a guy she seen standing on top of the WTC with the plane coming at him. She will tell you about every chain email she has ever recieved. Everything she sees on the news. She will tell you that you're going to be drafted to go to war.
the general public is easily scared. plain and simple.
my father lives in iowa and is on this exact same setup. when I am home, i am marvled at the ease it is used, considering how it is setup. defenitly fesable for the rural areas

i bet it is magically secure because nobody uses it! far more people use microsoft office products than star office, or similar suites. If nobody uses it, the security is not tested nearly as much.
hardly any other governments recognize the taliban as the ruling government in afghanistan.
they may condem it, but most nations have condemed the attacks on the united states..
I do believe that there have been troops in afghanistan for some tome now, special opps and british sas. I see a ground force moving in after the bombing.... making it safer for our troops.

this come from some place out in california?
at the time, it was the lesser of two evils.. considering that funding was used to stop the spread of communism.
dont get me wrong, i agree with you, but you fail to see the point I am making I think.
not really manifest destiny... more responsibility and a concious of our nation to do things we dont HAVE to, but CHOOSE to.
no, im not missing the point, i see it very clear.
it is not our right, but the responsibility given to us by the rest of the world to be teh ref.

the general public is what i was refering to.
there are some smart people, your mom may be included in that group.
I am not paranoid or scared of anything involved with this stuff.

i cant wait unitl somebody goes out and draws the goat sex guy with this thing...
let me get this straight? your boss watches you take a crap? does he allow one or two pieces of toilet paper per wipe?
do you get to use as much papertowel as you want to wash your hands?
damn dude, i would quit my job if I were you. burn the building down, and steal everyone's shoes.
what about you mix the two and have porn on the front lines??
or how about them shots from death valley in arizona?
telling people to "hold down shift" is more complicated than it seems.
althought I agree with you. the majority of computer users are far too inadept to comprehend holding down shift.
what we need to teach to people is commen sense, and basic computer skills. no, you do not put your damn cretid card in the floppy drive.
ive used a similar one before, and you have to squeeze your fingers and hands together, the typos run rampant. defenitly not comfortable.
