You do know how resistant strains show up right? The reason you are haveing to take a "disgusting antibiotic" instaed of someting less is because germ paranoia, over use of antibiotics and people not completing treatment regemens. Additionally the over sterilization of everythjing that a child will come in contact with means no natural immunities. I'm not saying that we dont want to give upo pasturization or clean water, but lets try to keep this in perspective shall we?
This is of course the same plan used by Direct TV and the RIAA in thier lawsuits, where the company/group with tons of money threatens people who cant afford to mont a defence and uses that to extort money. Join and Donate to the EFF.
Unfortunately, most people dont fight it because A) they did it or B) they dont want to go to the expense of hireing a lawyer to fight it in court. or C) both
This creates a situation similar to the Direct TV smart card lawsuits where a Extremely rich and pollitically powerful company uses those assets to intimidate and harass common citizens that can't afford to mount a defense. Basically it's extortion.
Support the EFF and hopefully they can put a stop to this kind of harrassment.
Here in Arizona Albertson's was the only chain that did not have loyalty cards and so I did my shopping there. They recently added them, and while I am not too happy about it, they did one good thing and added a check box at the bottom that says "I will not share info with you, but give me a card anyway" They will be keeping my business for that.
So what are the Teutuls going to do with that bike now? For those with no idea of what I'm talking about see here and scroll about halfway down the page for one of the sweetest theme based motorcycles ever.
They're playing Sims, Dance Dance REvolution, and other social, simulation and interactivity-based games
I would have to agree with this, I know a lot of females that play games and it seems that they all prefer to play ones like Sims, DAOC, or Everquest. My wife for example is totally addicted to DAOC, and prefers to play this rather than play half-life/unreal/quake with me. Which is fine with me since every time we have played this I get my ass kicked.
I have his picture of Bill G. in my head walking around carrying a sack in the middle of the night going,
"Here kitty kitty.....
get back in this bag you little F---ing Batstard"
IANAL. But my best friend is. He is also a secret service agent.
According to him, scanning currency into your computer is not against the law. Nor is printing it out.
Violation of federal counterfeiting laws does not actually occur until you try to pass off the fake currency as real. In other words it is not the act of creating the bill that is against the law but the intent to defraud with it.
In other news, The RIAA is looking onto CDs that will degrade in a year. "We'll make people buy the same CD's again and again." Said Hillary Rosen, "and if they don't they are obviously making illegal copies"
He must have gotten paid really, REALLY well by the telemarketers.
Then I hope he really, REALLY enjoys his time in a federal, "pound-you-in-the-ass", prison. It is incredibly illegal for judges to be influenced in this manner.
Although, considering how I feel about his decision, I kind of hope he did get paid, and gets caught. BTW I don't think the framers of the Constitution intended the 1st amendment to be used to protect people who use your own property to annoy you at dinner time.
This is absolute rubbish, a different system of quantification should be used when referring to binary powers, as the borrowing of those from SI is clearly misleading.
This is of course why 19 inch monitors are now labeld with thier viewable size in addition to the tube size. Because of a lawsuit just like this...
Well I dont know where you live, but here in phoenix a good crosscut paper shedder is $50 at Fry's. And I do understand statisics. I just dont want to become one.
Shredding documents in particular is probably completely unnecessary
One of my best friends is a Secret Service agent. If you heard the stories he tells, you would not say this.
how about an example? On one fraud case he was on when they busted into the criminals house, they found piles of Checks, Credit card and utility statements. Most smelling of trash. They had conned over 200K using this information. If you think that just because the crooks were caught, it was skippy fun time for the victims you are quite wrong. Regardless of the circumstances one victim was evicted from their house, because of a bounced rent check (the thieves took the money) and then had a very hard time finding another place because of the damage the crooks had done to their credit report. If I were you I would get a LOT more paranoid. On second thought don't. That way I only have to outrun you....(see above)
And while in the SW pop on over to Arizona to visit the Kit Peak Observitory. Great tour and several types of observaions going on all the time. Then head North and Check out the meteor crator. Oh yea theres that Grand canyon thing too, but I would see the other two first.
an additional thought... If they want to loose the revenue that is generated from thier banner ads as well then this is perfect technology to employ.
Personally I have no problem with banner ads. I fact the top of my screen has one right now, and it's for a place I shop, because I saw a ad for it on a site that I like. But I will NEVER ever buy ANYTHING that is advertised in a pop-up. Since sites that do use pop-up are not going to be visited be me, unless I absoulutely have to, they are going to be losing out on advertising to me anyway. theft indeed...
How about in your chest cavity? Most pacemakers are powered by small radioactive batteries. And these are implanted in the body. So haveing somehting like this in a cell phone or a laptop really wouldn't bother me.
Yes, and I would suggest that lots of people use this site to nominate Bruce Schneier as director of homeland security...

It's a culture in the same way that it is a culture if I scrape crud off the toilet and throw it in a petri dish with some growth media....
Sure. And next thing you know you have Tom Sellek rolling arpond your house in lightweight chainmail while the baby cries....
All I have to say if it ever gets out of the lab is:
Vegas, Baby, Vegas.

Guess it helps to actually READ the article. So apparently it IS about the first amendment rights of telemarketers.... At least in the DMA's opinion.

Perhaps an even more important question
Do they have to REMAIN virgins?
I'll bet I know of one person who has never had any identity theft problem
I bet I know several too. But again, It dosent cost much to protect yourself, Why take the risk?

Hmm, And I'm SURE that MSN and it's employee are COMELETELY un-biased in this. Just publishing the truth, with no personal interest.
Right.
Yea I'm SURE that's it.
