Unfortunately, most people dont fight it because
    A) they did it or
    B) they dont want to go to the expense of hireing a lawyer to fight it in court. or
    C) both
This creates a situation similar to the Direct TV smart card lawsuits where a Extremely rich and pollitically powerful company uses those assets to intimidate and harass common citizens that can't afford to mount a defense. Basically it's extortion.

Support the EFF and hopefully they can put a stop to this kind of harrassment.

They will be keeping my business for that.

My wife for example is totally addicted to DAOC, and prefers to play this rather than play half-life/unreal/quake with me. Which is fine with me since every time we have played this I get my ass kicked.

Violation of federal counterfeiting laws does not actually occur until you try to pass off the fake currency as real. In other words it is not the act of creating the bill that is against the law but the intent to defraud with it.

Although, considering how I feel about his decision, I kind of hope he did get paid, and gets caught.

One of my best friends is a Secret Service agent. If you heard the stories he tells, you would not say this.

how about an example? On one fraud case he was on when they busted into the criminals house, they found piles of Checks, Credit card and utility statements. Most smelling of trash. They had conned over 200K using this information. If you think that just because the crooks were caught, it was skippy fun time for the victims you are quite wrong. Regardless of the circumstances one victim was evicted from their house, because of a bounced rent check (the thieves took the money) and then had a very hard time finding another place because of the damage the crooks had done to their credit report.
