  1. Actually... yes. on Ask Slashdot: Do You Miss Windows Phone? (theverge.com) · · Score: 1

I have to admit, the Nokia 930 (yes, it was the last one with the Nokia name) was the best actual phone I ever used, and if the toddler hadn't lost it on me, I'd probably have gone back to using it as a phone and kept this iphone as a smaller ipad, since it has the apps I need/use.

But I'll be damned if the 930 didn't have one of the best camera's I ever used built in, but the super clear phone calls were worth the next to no app for several years, until my contract came due, and then there was nothing but androids (yech) or iphones to choose from. from the point of view, at leave the iphones are more secure than android.

It sad I have been proven correct, hence goes another different(read non-WoW) MMO that could have been something with more support. Enjoy MMO Heaven and tell Auto Assault I said Hi. I just noticed they are suspending billing from 1st June. Does this mean if you haven't pre-paid until the end, you can't go back for the finale ? 10. Re:DVR? on XBMC 'Atlantis' Beta 1 Released, Now Cross-Platform · · Score: 1

best combo I have found, is if you have a hardware encoder tv card (Hauppage 150MCE for example), us it as the xbmc pc, recording in the background (as it uses a few % of cpu time) with XBMC in the forground playing other videos/music/media. After the videos are recorded, crunchie to convert it to a MPEG4 .AVi file and move it to a specific folder on the server to be watched later. Using Webguide to setup recordings on the MCE machine, and away you go.

ATM, watching live tv unless its from a Myth backend, won't work. But this makes for a good tivo substitute

But download the live version and give it a try first, since it doesn't change anything and it pre-configured for MCE remote control.

    Interesting Fact
The term "United States" when used in a geographical sense on official documents, acts and/or laws; includes the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.

The U.S. has twelve unincorporated territories, also known as possessions, and two commonwealths. The major possessions are American Samoa, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. All of these have a non-voting representative in the U.S. Congress. The major commonwealths are Puerto Rico and the Northern Marianas. Commonwealths have their own constitutions and greater autonomy than possessions, and Guam is currently in the process of moving from the status of unincorporated territory to commonwealth. The residents of all of these places are full U.S. citizens, with the exception of those on American Samoa who are U.S. nationals, but not citizens.

U.S. Commonwealths/Territories include: American Samao (AS), Baker Island*, Howland Island*, Guam (GU), Jarvis Island*, Johnston Atoll*, Kingman Reef*, Midway Islands, Navassa Island*, Northern Mariana Islands (MP), Palau (PW), Palmyra Atoll*, Puerto Rico (PR), U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas) (VI), and Wake Island*.

Puerto Rico has its own Olympic team and competes in the Miss Universe pageant as an independent nation.

    Not quite...

    You can either:

    A. Buy the game, play single player & online ala Diablo 2 for the cost of buying the box. No problems. (and free online players share the server/s with paying customers)

    OR

    B. Buy the game, play single player & pay $9.95 for ENHANCED ONLINE content, I.E. particiate in the MMO portion. You get updates, more character slots, fancyer looking items (it has been stated the Elite players items only look different, not statistically different to a free players items.) and a few other things.

We all have played Diablo 2 ?? Most of us have played WoW or some MMO game online and paid for it ?? So I fail to see the pain in buying the game off the shelf and getting free MMO-Style play, with paying players getting more content (admittedly, but that costs to make over time) and some different looks.

Bill Roper has stated himself he wants to expand the game for the next few years, and possibly even explore the rest of the world. It sounds like a good proposition to me all told, long as you can cancel your sub and not loose your items (maybee they just loose their skin, and regain it if you sub again ?) only the perks.

So, yes, disturbing games have and can be made, but a lot of effort on the creators part is needed so the final game is not diluted or generic.
