THe Matrix Online is majorly story driven.... or is was meant to be, but SOE keeps stalling the story since there takeover of the game (which WBIE still supply the content for).

After much thought, investigation and frustration with Snapstream, I'm building a fairly similar setup with MCE as you have listed (but less HDD space & one tuner for now), but after checking out things here http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/ , I discovered you can indeed recompress the video files overnight, get a working EPG for Australia (something that the tv stations don't like) and various other things (the best was a dual login setup from http://www.thegreenbutton.com/community/shwmessage .aspx?ForumID=42&MessageID=89492&TopicPage=1 for having the MCE interface working on the console (machine) and a teminal (remote) interface active from the same machine)

But have a check around and see if you can overcome your little quirks, every media-pc setup has some.

Personally, my MCE is for record/recompress/torrent/dvd-burning only, mostly from a remote computer, all the output will be played via XBMC from a softmodded xbox :) so hopefully my WAF will go through the roof!

either way, 5.5 Million copys sold is still a huge aceivment for MMO games... I suspect that EA can say the same thing about UO, but thats only because they have released an update to purchase every year, and sometimes twice yearly.

WoW probably stil has the biggest currently running subscriptions for a Western (non-asian) MMO.

I wouldn't call that a fast worldwide release. Just plain stupidity & greed to get 360 out for xmas.

P.S. I'm not buying one until they hack them and get XBMC running H.234 videos running smoothly in at least SD on it.

I guess this is the que for me to laugh and say, I Aus, before our Cartoon Network was even thinking of playing Adult Swim (and there's more bad comments about that later) our free-to-air channel SBS was playing various animes, including Evangelion & Bubblegum Crisis 2040, and Sat night films used to be an anime every 2 months or so (still LOTS more than anywhere else, and this was 5 - 6 years ago I noticed this), and strange and surreal movies every other time. Very minor censoring, very happy viewers.

SBS is an Australian channel that broadcasts specifically forion shows & news (and by forien, I don't mean US or UK) so gives a great variaty of good shows to watch for us Aussies that we wouldn't ever see elsewhere :)

P.S. Adult Swim in Aus grip - On sat nights they will play 3 anime series in a row. Shame for almost 2 years its been exactly the same shows ( Orphen, Trigun & something else.) they have finally noticed and changed it back to 2 shows, Initial D & InuYasha. Are they worth watching tho ?
