I do not know why it is necessary to politicize something like this. There are plenty terrible things happening from both sides of the isle. People, in general, are terrible.
I've read the article twice, but I still think I'm reading it wrong. Does he say that science should be more objective and apolitical, then complain that it is object and apolitical?
I'm contacted outside work hours because our business needs to operate during those hours and if there is a problem, someone has to take care of it. This idea is completely bonkers.
Not that I don't just assume its Windows, as usual, but, it would have been nice to specify that this is only happening to people unfortunate enough to be running Windows. If it was happening to Mac users also, I would bet they'd mention that. Of course, I'm pretty sure I'm safe on my linux platform.
How much do you think Microsoft paid him to say that?
Also, I've used Windows 7 a little trying to test it against some of the crap I have to support and I find it better then Vista. But That is like saying getting kicked in the head is better than getting kicked in the nuts.
Doesn't matter to me. The first thing I do when I receive a new computer is to repartition, format and install the OS anyway. Even when I was using Windows, which I don't do anymore.
I have a catch-all domain and I get only about 150 spams a day. The funny thing is that most of the spam is to the ISP address and not the domain. I estimate about 60% of the spam is to the specific e-mail address I have for the ISP. I don't know how that got out there because I never use it unless the ISP itself sold its addresses.
No, you are not. I don't play any games that don't run on linux. Mostly because I don't even have windows on my computer. The thing that annoyes me the most is when people complain about MS and Windows but at still using it.
At Boston College there is a system where everyone has to register to use the network. They have to have a valid username and password to register. When they register, it records their ethernet address and their username. The IP address for what ethernet address is kept track of also during the life of a DHCP lease.
Is Hari Seldon running Google now?

I've tried, but I can't get it to run in Fedora.
Okay, I lied. I didn't try.

I'm sure it is all to help save the polar bears.

Aren't reports suppose to use this word when describing events?

I have an HP laptop and my video card died 5 days before my warranty ran out.
Then it happened again a year later.

What about IMAP? My guess would be that "POP"file won't work with IMAP. Give me mozilla any day. If I wanted to use outlook I'd use outlook.
