How about a Windows port of MPlayer? I know there are a lot of great players for Win, but I'd love to get rid of the *many* programs I need to play the various formats under Windows. Uh, please, don't suggest using Linux, I already do, I am a dual-booter, I just want something like MPlayer under Win as well.
In Italy we've had number portability for about one year... Kinda cool, actually, no problem with that. Hey, here we have more mobile phones per person than anywere else in the world, without number portability it was starting to get a real mess!
I use PhotoASA. 50 MB, no limits on image size, you can define codes for access to different parts of your db of photos, nice, no spam. I'd recommmend it.
Surely they can copy and/or modify it, but if they want to distribute (for free or for a fee, it does not matter) the derived code in binary form, they must release the source as well, otherwise they violate the license.

Hey, have you forgotten all that "free-as-in-beer" as opposed to "free as in speech" stuff? People in Asia would start wondering whether Phoenix isn't violating the GPL!:-)
Cyphers that use the same key for decryption and encryption are symmetric. Examples are AES, Serpent, Twofish, Blowfish, IDEA, DES... Cyphers that use different keys for encryption and decryption (usually called private key and public key) are asymmetric. Examples are RSA and DH/DSS. The fact that a cypher is symmetric or asymmetric has no impact on its "crackability" per se, unless a method different from brute force is used.
Italy might not be a monolithic entity, but neither is the world and/.ers should not be surprised that US laws don't apply to the rest of the world. As somebody pointed out, our very Constitution forbids blasphemy (against ALL religions, not just Catholic) so the police merely followed the law.
Does it play:
-Quicktime files?
-Realplayer files?
-Win media files?
-DVDs?
-DIVXs?

I installed 1.3 today, and the mouse gestures add-on I was using with 1.2 is still there.

It means: "Happy Christmas to you all"
Edo is short for Edoardo (Edward)
Yes, I am Italian

Russian word for "story" ;-)

T he new company has Zimmermann and Schneier in the technical board of advisors. One can hope.
And the police here in Italy acted after a court order. What is the difference?
