I have several friends who have laserdisc/DVD players, and they are nice and all that, but to not have a vcr is your own choice. To all those who say they own 3 DVD players and no VCR, I guess it serves you right for spending $1000 or more on DVD and not wanting to spend the extra $50 for a vcr. or maybe $200 for a top of the line model, if you are extremely concerned about quality. Admittedly, the tapes can wear out, but not before something like a thousand viewings...
I work in a computer lab and we use (blech) ie5. You'd be amazed how many people open up the search frame and type in yahoo, or just type in some random url, in the search engine box...
the trouble is that it analyse your personal taste sense and nutritional data, but it would taste almost but not quite entirely unlike gum, and tell you to "share and enjoy"
it is rumored (but probably not true) that the IMAX will get it here in Missouri (Branson, about an hour drive from where I live) which would absolutely be the coolest movie event ever. Even though it wasn't filmed in 70mm imax format, it is still a huge screen for regular moves, not to mention iirc 25Kw of sound!
actually, the dependencies are handled very well, as near as I can tell. I mean if a file changes, it is smart enough to figure out what depends on that. if something major changes, it will probably need to be rebuilt, but there is no need to rebuild stuff that didn't change any code.
just curious what would happen when I try to post on an article that I moderated...
I thought the idea was that they would burn up...
altought that would be an interesting way to go.
2M... do you know how many single disk distros there truly are? my favorite is tomsrtbt but there are a bunch of others.
or when I realized the meaning of _The_Integral_Trees_ by Larry Niven
so there is no incentive for say linux or freebsd to be the best possible os?

Now I can camp out for tickets.

right. You probably have a NIC card and use the cddb database.
there are no secret codes, the cddb protocol uses a hash of the index of track lengths.
Ah, the infamous finger memory bug :-) Who knows how many times I have typed Linux instead of Linus.
I think I have seen some that were a couple of hundred K...
