-Monitor cardio and tell the user when they have been sedentary too long. -Monitor worker's biological response to the workplace environment and adjust as necessary.
Oddly enough I was working on the same thing as me entry in Microsoft's ImagineCup. Guess that's out the window. The article is largely ignoring the important benefits of such a system. Tracking basic vital signs can be an important tool for monitoring and eventually maintaining employee health. The computer can tell the user if they have been sedentary too long. Employers can track the effects of the work environment on users.
I just put my 11 volume collection up on eBay. After years of trying to force myself to keep reading I finally gave up. I LOVE a good book series but I need to feel like the story is moving along.
The next IE version will be like Word for the Web. Not just a browser but an editor to completely interact with content. Ok, I made it up. But the web was never intended to be for "browsing" only.
One of my biggest bitches was being forced to run their proprietary crap apps on the phone instead of plentiful Java apps. I also hate all the fcking branding: External LCD shows Verizon Logo when shut, internal screen has "Verizon" at the top, etc. $200/month isn't enough to let me put what I want on the phone and make it look like a want? My son downloaded a stupid game the first dat he had it because he thought it was free and we found out last month that we have been charged for it for a year. Screw that! If Sprint didn't suck more I'd still be with them.
They need to do a better job of recruitment. On any given night I can find better bands playing at local clubs then I hear on the radio. How about they all chip in to recreate a free classic MTVesque station to market directly?
Uhh, what are you asking? You cant to know how to display the URL as text while printing? Just write a custom print function that loops through the links collection, store the link text in a associative array then append the link.href to the link.text. Print then repalce the text back. I'm sure there are several other obvious solutions too.
Even though there is no real economic market in these areas, Intel and MS are salting the fields. Preventing other competitors from gaining a foothold is the endgame.
I'd be one to argue for intervention but I have so many liberal knives in my back I've become an advocate of isolationism. Let em go to hell. Let Russia and Venezuela burn. Start cutting all imports and withdrawal from all these bullshit international agreements where we never get reciprocity from other members anyhow. Screw them all.
It's to the point where officials have to fear using any technology because somewhere down the road something can be pulled out of context and used against them. And the sad part is that you guys are cheering it on because you hate the President more than you love your freedom.
For all you haters out there they could make a "Sh*t on America" logo but then again you do it 365 days a year so what would be the point? It's easy to be a smug "know it all" when someone else's ass is being shot at to protect your liberty.
And lets ask all car manufacturers to use the same motor. Heck, while we're at it why don't we replace brand names with "Generic Car" like those cheapo cigarettes at the store.
This tactic is an effective one for the FUDers becasue they can count on the general citezenry beign too stupid to comprehend the difference between an algorithm that sifts large quantiies of data looking for patterns and some guy in a black suit personally perusing your mail.

Current stories are reporting that the last two defections were because of $150mil and $400mil payments from Sony to the Studios.
It better include a iHandjob!
How about a class action suit against Sony for bribing movie companies? Restraint of trade? Monopoly? Bribery?
I'm pretty sure those clever Chinese engineers will find a way if they think there is a market.
As energy prices increase along with battery capacity and fast chargers, I imagine we'll see a return of energy theft.
Look in the mirror folks.

Good point. Even better, lower the entry boundary for new stations to the floor just as the web has done for print media.

rottentomatoes.com aggregates bloggers as well as mainstream media. And there are a lot more bloggers out there.
I'd rather have XAML and a good WYSIWYG editor. I so fcking sick of slinging HTML.
rottentomatoes.com for games. A site that gathers all the reviews, big or little, and tallies the results.
