  1. Getting Worse Every Time on US Visitor Fingerprints To Be (Perhaps) Stored by FBI · · Score: 3, Insightful

I travel from Europe to the US on a regular basis (once a month) for work. It's getting worse and worse. They track everything about you. I get held up when trying to enter. They're asking me more and more pointless questions. Like where do you work, what kind of work do you do, when will you going back, when was the last time you visited, where do you stay. I can't book any internal US flights from Europe anymore, since they can't verify my European credit card anymore (this started last month). Welcome to the US, land of the guilty until proven innocent.

At some point I'm not going to put up with this Bullcrap anymore. I'm just going to stay in Europe. And you can forget about my business.

And as a fanatical non-believer, I would have to say that if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.

Please understand that, I mean no disrespect to you - or try to insult you in anyway, I know you're a thinking believer, but here's what I think. And I just want you to know what goes on inside my head.

Religion (any), is bad for you.

[1] Time and time again it has been shown that religion is used to control the masses.

Let's face it, it's a great way to have everyone do what's needed to keep you in position of power. Compromises to the power of the institution behind the religion are only made when it is really needed for the survival of the institution. Think about catholic church admitting the earth is not flat.

It strikes me that they are forbidding the use of condoms (while half of Africa is dying of sexually transmitted diseases). Don't even get me started on religious wars. Well this is not you who does all of this, right? right!

[2] religion is keeping humanity down

How open minded are religious people, really? Not everyone is a fanatic, but many are (in my view). And the whole purpose of this post is to show you that being a reasonable believer is just as bad (IMO).

How about the real world out there, the oppurtunity, the potential of mankind, the will to explore and learn about the world and the universe? The potential to become so much more than the animal on two legs?

Religion provides most of the answers to personal and technical questions everyone has (as to why do we exist, etc). In my view, religion is holding people back from creating there own ideas and discovering their own answers. And it's not all about the destiniation, it's also about getting there. I truly believe that denying someone this is one of the worst things you can do to a person.

Well, I could rant on for hours. While I mean no disrespect to you as a person, I hope that you see a bit more clearly what goes on inside my head when I say that you're part of the problem.

Feel free to disagree with me ;)

There is a product from Microsoft Live Office or something (used to be a company called Placeware, which was eaten by MS).

Anyway if your a good, well behaved, citizen you have nothing to worry about because you have nothing to hide, right? In my opinion we're all being held hostage by criminals and terrorist.

So for the record: games are intentionally designed with the goal of attracting newbies. Evolution is without a preset goal. In this case creationism would be a far better example than evolution.

Greenpeace are a bunch of misguided people. They advertise with save the wale, save the environment, and those things. Then if you donate money they use it to protest (violently) against vital medical and agricultural research.

They would rather see half of the third world population die of hunger than allow research into transgenic crops.

They mislead the general population, always playing on cheap sentiments, never ever through the rational, sensible way.

I would label greenpeace as eco-religion, with a small group of fanatic eco-terrorists at the core. I actively discourage anyone from donating money to this group. I can only hope these people will become reasonable one day, since there are obviously important things that deserve the attention of environmentalists.
