I'd agree.
And unless they learn how to treat and cure it before then, I'm screwed in about 25 to 35 years. My mom had dementia on top of that, so I have a genetic predisposition to boot.
Which ironically, while cynical, is also somewhat optimistic as I think they will probably make progress on that front.
What, you thought MSNBC was level, objective, and centered? They're every bit as much a mouthpiece for the left as Fox is for the right. The rest of the media leans left as well. There is no objective journalism anymore, it's all out propaganda war.
Oh, and you forgot to spell it "faux".
I don't know if you're trolling or serious, but honestly I don't trust either party that much, though I think originally those powers were granted with good intentions.
People are people; no group is solely saints nor demons. But lately I've seen a lot more dirty underhandedness from the left than from the right.
The Gibson factory raid was a complete and unjust fiasco; another example (somewhat like the IRS scandal) where an entity is harassed and punished for contributing to the republican caucus, under pretentious bullshit justifications; in this case, "Illegal" use of Indian rosewood... which other companies like Fender (which contributes to the Democrat cause) used with no penalty.
I rather expect augmented cyborgism (?) to be a big thing with the next generation or two, much like tattoos, piercings, implants, and gauges today. It'll be chic and trendy. Then it's just one short step from there if you have to replace limbs or organs, so for those that have to, it won't be that radical a change and won't be so outside the mainstream as it is today; and some people might actually choose to do so voluntarily. ("Wow dude, is that the new Cyber-nimbus 2000-? your new arm is so cool!" "Yeah, I can crush an aluminum bat with this!!".)
That's my wife; only because she had a psychology degree (whoop..not that she works or uses it) I felt belittled as though I had no fathering instincts at all.
I can't understand why anyone would want to pressure someone into having children. The last person on earth that should be a parent is someone who doesn't want to be. For some unfathomable reason, my M-I-L would say childless adults are "selfish" and just want to enjoy life for themselves. Oh no, how horrible. (My wife and I have one child. The article is right, it's changed me dramatically. You don't know that kind of love until you have a child.
It's far worse to have kids you didn't want and didn't plan on ever having, there's not much that's more tragic than an unloved child. And it's improbable that such a child will grow up to be a productive member of society; not impossible, but unlikely.
Probably equally bad are those welfare mothers who push out babies like an assembly line because it gets them more benefits (and it's not a racist myth, my wife used to work at BCAP and saw this very frequently for herself.) That's horrible to use human beings - children no less- as "assets".
True, but that's not what's keeping him from wanting to visit, same as me. It's the batshit insane religion based government. I too hear most of the actual people are pretty cool. At least, the younger generation is.
But I wouldn't dream of going anywhere near the middle east these days, as much as I'd love to see the great pyramids, or the supposed location of the hanging gardens of babylon, or numerous other historical sites across the land.
I've seen that before.. from the reviews though it sound buggy. Last playthrough I just ignored them; sure, the quest remained in my journal, but oh well. I do have to note that I still got attacked by dragons after beating Alduin, so, at best he was only partly successful in bring his fellow dragons over to the light side. I admit I've thought about doing him in this time through only because I haven't yet seen where that particular branch of the quest line takes me... curiosity and all that, but I don't know.
Admittedly, I joined the Dark Brotherhood last time thinking it'd be justifiable by assassinating bad guys (like "Grelod the Kind"), but then it got horrifying; I had no desire to kill normal people, and especially Titus Mede, he was a nice guy. I still think that was crappy of Bethesda to code it that way. They did better with the civil war questlines.
I guess it's kind of a fine line. Take Skyrim for example, I was actually kinda repulsed by some of the quests, especially the Daedric ones (Boethia for example). And I don't want to kill Paarthurnax, it feels wrong, he's a good guy. Fuck Delphine and Esbern.
With the Dragonborn addon, I couldn't even bring myself to kill an innocent Netch and break up a Netch family just for the stupid jelly.
OTOH, I don't seem to have any problem killing bandits left and right, because they're murderers. I also quickly learned that when they're about to die and say "I submit, don't hurt me" that you can't believe them. I stopped the first few times to let them live and those liars just attacked me again. Pffttt.
They did not enter into a contract, verbal or otherwise, that they give up the rights to their likeness.
Which rights exactly are these? Is the guy making money off of them or somehow using them commercially, because that's generally what rights to use a likeness refers to. The pictures are a part of his life too, if he took them. If he's only using them personally, I would feel she has much of a leg to stand on, unless they can roll slander in there too - context is everything here. But obviously the German judge disagrees, in any event.
I don't think just water by itself is going to do terribly much, but better than nothing at all though, you're right about that. Yeah, I'm sure history is pretty smelly; they may have been cleaner than we think, but still nothing by today's standards. Today, in a first world country, the old saying "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" doesn't seem to make much sense (it didn't to me anyway, I took it for granted), but in the context of a couple of centuries ago, it's probably a very accurate observation.
Not really that quick.
I say, use a large, powerful hydraulic ram on their head. Instead painless death and brain squishy. Tasty drink afterwards with a little peach schnaps and baileys.
This is why I hated that lame study years ago that claimed diet has no effect on acne. That's bullshit. It certainly does, and even common sense would dictate that you are what you eat.
In the event of this study, it sounds like an excuse for smelly hippies to justify not bathing but once a month. BO is the new beautiful! There was (or is) a big trend in Hollywood for this, from Brad Pitt to Joann whatshername (Mica) on Warehouse13. She's cute but there was one season where her hair looked just stringy, nasty and greasy.
Granted, many people (myself included) tend to over wash (I shower every morning) but then my head and face have always, always been very greasy, and I'd rather err on the side of not being yucky, I'm challenged enough in the looks department as it is. And I like clean feet before I put socks on.
You, sir, are a complete IDIOT!,
The money that universities make off their patents doesn't go into the pockets of some mysterious investor but BACK INTO FUNDING THE UNIVERSITY.
As a direct result of being able to profit from their patented research universities can afford to do more (or more expensive) research without having to dip into TAX DOLLARS to do so.
Oh, name calling in capitals, your point must be irrefutable and absolute truth. Guess someone struck a sensitive nerve.
The truth is that half that money would go into lining pockets, not get reinvested in actual research. Universities are big business too, and only an IDIOT would deny it.
Which is lose-lose because the latter is impossible, as is the former. Look how "successful" the "containment" of Saddam Hussein was:
Besides the UN itself botching the effort which helped Saddam and his family fill his coffers while the Iraqi people still suffered, the resources required to maintain the sanctions, embargoes, and the no-fly zone were the actual catalyst behind al queda directly attacking US interests in the first place. Angered by the prolonged US military presence required in Saudi Arabia to maintain the aforementioned, he made grave threats to the kingdom which led to his exile by the state and excommunication from his family; he then sought his revenge on the US. The attack on the USS Cole and the bombings of the two embassies in Africa were only the prefaces to 9-11.
I suppose if you're a gay male that sounds like Utopia. Welcome to Seattle, the new San Francisco.
The Space Needle will take on new allegorical significance as a monument!
I'd agree.

The Koch brothers also donate to the Democrats. A lot.

Granola seems to trigger it in me, among other things. I'm nearly 52 and still having to deal with it, arghh.
This is why I hated that lame study years ago that claimed diet has no effect on acne. That's bullshit. It certainly does, and even common sense would dictate that you are what you eat.

You can't possibly be serious, or that naive.
lol I was thinking exactly the same thing. A day that will live in infamy, to be sure.
As a result, You only have 2 choices:
Kill every last one of them
Contain and isolate them
Which is lose-lose because the latter is impossible, as is the former. Look how "successful" the "containment" of Saddam Hussein was:

So that's where spaghetti sauce comes from !
and we're actually Klingons (cling-ons)
But.. what would God need with a Starship?
