Please just move on. I am married now. Do not attempt to contact me any more and seek professional help. You just do not know when to quit. You want to be more than friends, and I cannot allow that to ruin my marriage. If you want someone that bad, seek a matchmaking service or whatever.
Maybe the Jetpacks got damaged in RotS, and were never fixed? I noticed that R2 was sliding with the other stuff in the cargo hold, and could have used his jets to save himself, but didn't. Either that, or he used all the oil that powered the jets to beat the Federation Guard Droids?
Yeah and Picard would allow the evil dictator to rule that country and try to deal with him diplomatically. All the while, the evil dictator is sending his people to slaughterhouses and not agreeing with Picard. Then Picard sends a team down to negotiate with the Evil Dictator, and they get captured. Then, yes, for the sake of humanity, Picard goes himself, only to be captured and executed, and the Evil Dictator takes over the Enterprise.
Scotty was right "The only diplomat I know is a fully charged phaser bank."
not the best, but at least it answered some questions about the other films.
I am not quite sure why R2D2 was a badboy in this film, but didn't do quite so well in the other films. There must be a force connection with Anakin there that empowered R2 to become his badboy self for this film. That was lost later on, when he lost his connection to Anakin. When you think about it, R2D2 is the real hero of all six Star Wars films.
Picard trys to go by the Prime Directive, even if it means misery for people on the planet. Kirk always violated it, because he put the good fortune of others ahead of a buerocratic/pollitical idea.
Picard always tries to get out of fighting, if possible, tries to reason with Klingons, etc. Kirk knows that he has an edge in fighting, and that Klingons, etc won't listen to reason anyway.
Picard always is concerned for the safety of his crew, and never has the engineer exceed safety regulations. Kirk knows that his engineer is smart enough to exceed safety regulations without endangering the crew.
Picard is a prude, doesn't have many girlfriends. Kirk has a woman on every planet, and apparently spread his seed across the galaxy.
Picard does not know how to fight, someone stronger than him can easily take him out. When faced with a genetically engineered madman with ten times his strength, Kirk evened the odds with a pipe.
Picard is bald, even in the future there is no cure for baldness. Kirk lost some hair, but was smart enough to join the hair club for men or wear a toupee.
Picard crashed his ship due to his mismanagement. Kirk set his ship to self destruct so the Klingons wouldn't get it, and it would take some Klingons out when it blew up.
Kirk gave his own life to save Picard and the universe. Picard couldn't even save himself from his own clone, without having one of his crew (Data) sacrifice his life, because Picard is too much of a wimp.
Employers filter by degrees. For example, if the applicant does not have at least a four year degree, their resume is thrown in the trash.
People who graduate from college learn the theories, but lack the real world experience unless they know how to apply the theories to real situations, and adapt to change and learn new ideas and technologies.
Many people have the real world experience, but lack the degrees, so HR screens them out.
Citing a lack of qualified canidates, businesses lobby the government to raise work visa quotas or eliminate them.
When they cannot get enough qualified people into the country, they turn to Offshoring.
Offshoring has problems, due to barriers of language, culture, religion, society, and location. They are ISO 9000 Certified, but are not producing quality results. They are being managed like they are in the USA, but that management style does not work in their native country.
After offshoring fails, some companies turn to consulting. Hiring workers from another company to work via contracts, and letting that company hire and fire employees and provide benefits to the employees.
Global Economics states that the nation that provides the products or services the most efficent, will have an advantage. India is able to offer Engineering and IT products and services, but as the Indian economy grows, so does the money paid to the workers. This makes India lose its advantage as the gap between the rich and poor narrows, proving that capitalism works. Meanwhile Brazil, Thailand, The Phillipines, China, etc are all offering IT and Engineering services at rates that are cheaper than India's. Slowly, India starts to lose its advantage.
Meanwhile after not being able to hire qualified and skilled local labor, many companies turn to headhunters (recruiters) to screen applicants for them.
Due to the qualified, but undereducated people being discriminated against, companies find that their quality is getting worse. As a result, the economy suffers. More money is going overseas due to the work visas and offshoring, which also hurts the domestic economy. The government is told to do something about it, so they raise tariffs, which raises the price of that commodity in the market. This leads to higher costs of many companies, which are forced to lay off more employees. Yet these high tariffs are exactly what people wanted, they just don't know the economic effect it has on their economy. Many of these problems are caused by other nations and corporations, but people blame the President anyway, after all, he was the one who did what they told him to do, and raise tariffs to save jobs, which led to losing more jobs.
In short, we are so doomed in the United States. We are going to become a third world country if this keeps up, and have a double digit unemployment rate. By the time the Baby Boomers retire, it will wreck the stock market, and cause even more economic problems. Kiss your pensions and Social Security goodbye, or at least consider a 25% cut if they manage to save them somehow by a government bailout due to taking on more debt to fund them. As corps like United, cut out their pension programs, the feds have to take over, but often cut 25% of out the money owed to pensioners.
My advice to survive is to live minimulist living and save as much money as you can. Try not to spend too much, if you own stocks, sell them before 2015 happens and the Baby Boomers start cashing in stocks and crash the market. If it survives, the stock market is going to have some really cheap stocks after 2017.
China and India formed an economic partnership, that is 1/3rd the world's population right there. Don't ignore the EU either. These two will be big competitors to the United States of America.
If you can start a business, learn to do what other people do not want to do. For example, someone started a business to sell stuff on eBay for others too lazy to do it themselves. It sort of is like a garage sale, only online. They market mostly to people who do not have Internet access, but want to sell their stuff for whatever cash they can get from eBay. The key is to keep customer statisfaction high, so that they keep having repeat sales.
Yeah but Pointy Haired Bosses don't like low cost or free software. They think that kind of software is for hippies or hackers, and full of backdoors. Not that is true, it is just what the typical PHB thinks.
To a PHB, paying Microsoft a few hundred dollars a copy is cost effective, because of the support that comes with it, and the range of software that Windows can run and work with. They use Windows Server because the same company that supports Windows, also supports Windows Server. Nice for them to get all their support from Microsoft. Microsoft also feeds them reports on how much better Windows is than Linux. Therefore, they trust what Microsoft has to say as true.
Besides, SCO is trying to sue Linux users, PHBs don't want to risk lawsuits.
At least it isn't Microsoft Office. I don't see many other F/OSS projects trying to compete with Microsoft Office.
To the typical user that installs it in Windows, they won't notice the dependance on Java. To those more technically savvy, they will notice the Java dependency.
Besides being Java based makes it easier to port to different platforms.
We all know how popular that turned out. It was the first, and last, Unix port that Microsoft developed.
Guess who bought it from them? SCO. Guess who is suing Linux developers and users?
Chances are better than Microsoft will license the SCO Unix (Unixware, etc) code and build on that, rather than build on Linux. Being that Microsoft and SCO are "buddy buddy" right now.
It is unethical to treat one person one way and treat another a different way for having the same actions. Only reason I was singled out was that I have different viewpoints than the editors, others who did the same thing I did but have a viewpoint the same as the editors are left alone. Not only is that unethical, it is hypocritical and favoritism.
I was invited to join their site, and leave my personal posts and diaries on their site. Nobody told me I would be censored if I had viewpoints that differ from the editors, that is false advertising.
I see this as no different from HP removing posts from their blog, it is just as wrong.
as well as mine, there is not much you can do. Two of my last jobs had managers and coworkers that were nuts, evil, or a combination of both. One was a law firm, and the other was a small medical instrument company. I haven't worked since 2002, but when they fired me, they did me a favor. Why? Because I do not have to put up with their mental, physical, psychological, emotional, and sometimes sexual abuse. I also am not able to see favoritism being played on the certain employees who are 20% of the company, but cause 80% of the problems. I mean they get rewarded for messing up by promotions and payraises, while they blame everyone else for their mistakes.
He already burnt the bridge. All you can do is claim otherwise if a potential employer calls him for a reference. Never speak negative about a company or maanager because it looks unprofessional. Hopefully the potential employer will see how unprofessional your former boss is acting and understand why you left the company.
Success is the best revenge, move on, move up, and don't let it affect your new job. Be successful, and try not to let it bother you. Unless the next company you work for is as bad or worse than the last, which it just might be, like in my case.
I continue to look for a positive and supporting environment for my employment. I do not think such a place exists yet, maybe later.
Non-Technical Linux user should have no need of Unix shells and everything should be GUI based. They most likely would run Linspire instead of Fedora. Linspire does not install the typical CLI tools that Linux uses, and everything is installed via the Click N Run interface. The downside is that they have to pay $5/month to download updates and F/OSS software as a subscription, but they are paying for the conveneince of doing so. It is a smart business plan, and Linspire gets $60 a year in subscriptions from their members, and $50 for the core OS. Every once in a while, Linspire offers free downloads via BitTorrent, but not free subscriptions.
I ran Linspire for a while, I learned how to activate the apt-get function to download the CLI software, GCC compiler, RPM installer, etc. Only the Click N Run function saw that the libraries I had installed do not match the ones in their database (too new) and tried to uninstall them. It was funny as I saw a picture of a guy hung by his underwear as an error message. I went to KNOPPIX after that, and then later Fedora.
I've had a history of problems with different Linux distros, but on a positive note I am learning how to fix various things that go wrong in Linux.
Dawkins shows his Atheist bias, he pushes a agenda, and his views are AntiChristian, and he lost his objectivity which goes against the scientific method, and Evolutionary Scienctists praise him for that. I said it wasn't scientific, and that such things should be regarded as pseduo-science as now they are trying to prove Evolution is a fact in Courtrooms via the ACLU, instead of in a science lab. I call it as I see them.
At one time Evolution was a credible theory, now it is just a tool of Atheism to bash other religions. Not a science anymore, but a religion.
When they start abusing their powers, I have a right to call them on that, in other areas. I can cite them for abuse and censorship, which is the truth.
I have resources on my end, my ISP I pay for, my browser and OS, and I help them collect revenue with their Google ads and stuff. In return they shat all over me and then anonymized my account. Perhaps it is true, people who can run their own part of the Internet can develop a Napolean complex or whatever?
I was on The Daily Kos, they posted about how a Conservative Republican was acting like a terrorist, I posted on how some other politicans who were Liberal Democrats who also acting like terrorists, and my account was "anonymized" in that the post was deleted and my account was no longer able to post or create a diary.
I heard The Free Republic does that to people who hold different views too, but I am not on there to confirm it.
Same thing with Kuro5hin, I had a different point of view than some editors there held, and I was "anonymized". Lots of users got "Anonymized" as I recall. Many signed back on with new accounts, protesting their rights being taken away.
Apparently the freedom of speech does not apply to blogs. None of them, apparently, support the freedom of speech to one who posts a negative comment or a different point of view.
On other forums, like IWETHEY, you will get flamed for having a different opinion than the groupmind.
Apparently this is abuse from those who hold a majority point of view, editor, or administration access of a blog or forum. Fascism, Communism, it don't matter, because your right to post your opinion is taken away without even a warning or reason why it was taken away. If not, you are personally attacked until you are forced to leave.
Correct, a court of law is not a science lab, yet people are using court findings to prove that Evolution is a fact. Hence the pseduo-science reference in that regard.
Atheism, is not lack of a belief, it is the belief that there is no God. Strong Atheists have faith that there is no God, weak Atheists state that they have faith that there is no God because they don't see evidence of God and act accordingly. Since Atheism is a recognized religion by the US government, it is a belief system. Hence your bias, but then you are biased anyway, aren't you? Evolution is used as a tool by Atheists to try and prove that there is no God, and forcing Atheism into public schools. That is why the Atheists support it that are filing the law suits.
I say prove it in a science lab, not a court room. Until then, it is only a theory.
You think that is something? I just recently had Fedora Core 3 do an update and my Eth0 NIC connection kept going inactive. I would activate it, only to have it go inactive in 15 to 30 seconds.
Fedora Forum traced it to Notwork Mangler, aka Network Manager and I had to remove it.
How is the typical Linux user supposed to manage when the standard install programs cause problems like that? I think Fedora is the beta test for Red Hat Enterprise Server. I feel like a crash test dummy for running Fedora with conditions like that.
Maybe they are waiting for Longhorn to be released as part of their agreement with Microsoft? What exactly was all that about anyway besides "I'll stop my lawsuits, if you stop yours Bill."
In which this shows the Atheist bias in modern science today. So much so, that they are even willing to hide behind the ACLU to throw out alternatives to Evolution, and change text books to no longer say that Evolution is a theory, but now they must say that Evolution is a fact. That has nothing to do with science at all, and hence is pseduo-science. The only reason the ACLU is involved because they take the side of Atheists, and the like, and try to push their agenda.
Well, think about it. Someone wants to write a Word Processor, will Wordperfect, Microsoft, and others who have Word Processors sue them for violating their IP of having a Word Processor first?
There are cases when companies made work-a-likes to Crosstalk, Lotus 123, etc that used the same menu layout, etc, and they eventually won the lawsuit. Not a single bit of source code from the original product.
The only fear is when an 800 Pound Gorilla like Microsoft, who can afford more expensive lawyers than you, sues you for making a product that looks like or has a name like one of theirs. Case in point, Lindows. Rather than pay lawyers fees and fight and appeal the case, Lindows got changed to Linspire, and Microsoft backed off. Microsoft only does this to companies that are making a lot of money, small fish like F/OSS developers who don't even earn $1M USD a year are not worth their lawyer fees.
Richard Dawkins has falsified research and not followed the scientific method, and has been basied and let his Atheism show in his works. Evolution, has turned into an Atheist basied story. Science has become the New Atheism. If there is to be a seperation of church and state, why is the Atheist church/religion allowed to teach their religion in public schools in the form of Evolution? I mean Evolution supports and promotes Atheism by saying "God does not exist". This makes Atheists hypocrits.
to finance the HDTV technology, they raised the rates of all Non-HDTV subscribers. This is because they want to offer lower HDTV rates than Cable does. Only one TV set in my house is HDTV ready.
Tell the "hacker" to telnet to 127.0.0.1 and you set up an root account using the same login info as the hacker's machine. Tell them to issue the following commands:
"cd/" "rm -rf *"
I did this to someone who treatened to delete my hard drive. They ended up deleting their own Unix system. Smart enough to install Unix, but not smart enough to know what the loopback address is.
Please just move on. I am married now. Do not attempt to contact me any more and seek professional help. You just do not know when to quit. You want to be more than friends, and I cannot allow that to ruin my marriage. If you want someone that bad, seek a matchmaking service or whatever.
I went to see RotS alone, and I enjoyed it.
Freedom does not have a price tag. Communism has killed over 100 million people, yet I do not hear you complaining about that.

I use a "Spaceballs" password.

to finance the HDTV technology, they raised the rates of all Non-HDTV subscribers. This is because they want to offer lower HDTV rates than Cable does. Only one TV set in my house is HDTV ready.

I did this to someone who treatened to delete my hard drive. They ended up deleting their own Unix system. Smart enough to install Unix, but not smart enough to know what the loopback address is.
