Ya, but Rupert Murdoch and the gang are fairly die hard conservatives... and the folks that write the Simpsons are quite obviously the complete opposite.
ehh, Saurumon has two small parts in ROTK. I can see why they'd cut him. You could tell the story without him. And easily drop him into the Special edition.
ROTK has a lot of stuff that will needs to go if that movie is going to stand on it's own. (ie: we can't have everyone saying 'goodbye' for an hour and a half).
Remember, just because Disney is moving to all CG, does not mean that every Disney movie is going to look like a Pixar flick. A lot of folks here seem to have that impression.
Most Disney movies already incorporate a lot of CG (ie Treasure Planet). However, Disney still choses to use a lot of design principles that people typically identify with older hand drawn Disney cartoons.
(ohh and on a side note... South Park is nearly 100% CG, and that looks nothing like a pixar flick;) )
The last time I saw 'CBR' I was dating a new girl and I wanted to test her tolerance for random entertainment. So I brought her to a Captured by Robots show at a transvestite bar in San Francisco (Kimo's).
She seemed to be able to hang. So I kept her.
After you get over the initial technical marvel gimmick you'll find that CBR's music is kind of mediocre. That's why you need drunk 40 something transvestites for back-up entertainment.
This is what typically happens. A Windows version is developed in the US. Once it's feature set is complete it is shipped to india to be finished and or ported to other platforms.
Once India is done, both the Mac and PC versions are boxed up and shipped out.
I'm a bit more concerned about the overseas development they are using for the Mac ports.
Macromedia's Mac software has become horrible over the past 2 years. It's loaded with bugs that never ever get addressed. They don't even put patches or updates online. (I think they put -one- up for DreamWeaver).
Nah, Vinyl has made a HUGE come back over the past few years. Most major cities have tons of stores that sell vinyl. Heck, in SF they out number stores that only sell CDs (seriously).
Vinyl is still the best there is for DJ'ing. It sounds good, it scratches well, you can mark it, you can jump to specific spots easily on it, etc etc,
Watch... this is just a sign that the Sun is going to explode within the next few days. Scientist probably don't want to tell us this horrible news because there's nothing that can be done.;)
"The U.S. National Cancer Institute has just decided to fund multiple human clinical studies to test the reovirus."
Odds are the people in these "human clinical studies" are not responding well to other treatments and are terminal. They don't test these kind of drugs on college kids who'd like and extra $50bucks. Drug like these are typically tested on people who have very few options left....or monkeys.
This doesn't make any sense. I thought the whole point of the xbox was that it eased console development by being nothing more then a stripped down Wintel box.
That press release was kind of vague. perhaps MS is going to use an IBM semiconductor for something besides the CPU.

I'm not surprised to see stuff like this happen.
You didn't read that post properly... It says "network"
Holy %$#@.... it's the robot from "Short Circuit" !!
hummmm. Weird. I wonder how he will end the film. I guess the film won't end with Frodo going to live with the Elfs and Sam getting some booty.
That's a shame.

Dude, who works at SCO? 13 year old bipolar kids who don't take their pills?
One day they're going to sue everyone, the next day they're dropping law suits, the day after that they decide to sue everyone again.
Erahhhhh!
I wonder what his comments look like.

Most digital designs and art start with pens and go to a scanner :)
These popup blockers typically only block Body OnLoad popups... user not requested popups.

You took that literally?
dude... I was obviously exaggerating.
Artists and stores do make money... however it usually not nearly as much as the label.

Remember, the RIAA is, more or less, a huge umbrella for the big record labels.
It's the labels that make money. Not the stores, and (typically) not the artists.

It's really quite sad.
Mistaaaa Spaaaaakooool!
(nice post)

But what if you want to purchase music in your underwear and have it in your possession instantly?
I guess you could say that Darwin / OS X kind of compete with a certain segment of RedHat's market.
Then again, he could've just been talking quickly and not put much thought into what he said.
We're out of monkeys?

...or monkeys.

I love how MS jumps right into the MP3 jukebox frenzy... only they don't have an mp3 jukebox.
Wow... good luck at catching up to Apple by 2004.
