The point is that analog "degrades gracefully", in the sense that with iffy/bad reception, you get picture and sound (admittedly staticy/snowy) as opposed to absolutely nothing.
I had no room for my wisdom teeth -- first time someone told me I *didn't* have a big mouth -- and they came in horribly impacted, and even fused to the bone. It was not a "convenience" removal.
The claim that the initial "depressurization" would make the crew "incapacitated within seconds" relies on the common perception that exposure to the vacuum of space makes your face explode.
Spaceflightnow wouldn't buy into that. I suspect that the incapacitation was due to hypoxia.

What do you mean?
Joe Sixpack has his favorites (FSN, ESPN, SciFi). Jane has hers (Oxygen, FoodTV, WE). Little Johnny and Susie each have theirs as well (Nick, Disney, etc..).
There was no such thing as an "IBM PC II". There was the IBM PC, the IBM PC-XT, and the IBM PC-AT.
The XT had 8 slots, but an 8088. The 8088 and 8086 were functional equivalents, with the only difference being that the 8088 had an 8-bit external bus. I suspect you had an XT with an 8088. You could not put an 8086 into an 8088 socket.

OK, If the converter box coupons help keep perfectly good analog TVs out of the wastestream it sounds like money well spent.
Happy now?
To echo the other replies...

Isn't hackorX really Max's long-lost brother Rex Hackor, in disguise?
Do you mean "three-eyed fish"?
In the same vein, does anyone know what happened to SeeSoft?
Yarr! The pirates are t'be takin' out them scurvy Ninjas!!!
Hoist the mains'l and raise a tankard o'grog to his Noodliness!!!!
This is nothing unusual for AT&T. When they went to 2G, I had the same issues.
I had a TDMA phone, and they never explained why all of a sudden there were so many holes in coverage when they went GSM.
Hell, they never even sent a note in my bill saying, "Hey! We've got this nifty new GSM service, and anyone using TDMA needs to upgrade!"
Or are running Win2K
So it's the end of the world as we know it?
But I feel fine!
On second thought.... WARNING -- Infinite Recursion Detected!!!
iirc some of the malware and adware 'vendors' had eulas that forbade users to remove their programs
But if you remove it, you're in violation of the EULA, and therefore are not allowed to use the program, so you must remove it!
Absolutely no problem there.
Funny. I hate trackpads. I guess it's just personal taste.
I have trouble with click/drag, chording (middle-button functionality), etc....

We bought one at my last job for somewhere in the low 6 figures.
Do you know how much GPS simulators cost?
Oh, come on. This is from an organization that cut funding for terrorism just before 9/11 to add resources to software piracy.
But if the Evil Content Pirates(tm) steal music, the The Terrorists Have Won(tm).
Sorry, I stand corrected.. I haven't looked at any "new" keyboards. It seemed to me that the trend was to add more keys, not remove them.
Reminds me of people complaining about their cell phones having cameras in them.
Certain companies *cough*defense contractors*cough* allow cells, but not cameras.
What keyboard made for the past 27 years *DOESN'T* have an "Insert" key? It was on the original IBM PC's keyboard.
Oh, and I'll give you 1/2 point because my syntax is incorrect. The correct phrasing should have been:
Your Newspeak is ungood. "bad" is ungroupthinkful. Use "doubleplusungood".
What makes you think I'm a recent high school graduate?
I graduated in 1980, I received my CS degree in 1984, and have been a professional developer for 24 years.
Hell, my *DAUGHTER* is out of high school.
