    Most wikipedia articles on Film and TV contain stolen content from IMDB, or from labors-of-love fan sites that depend on page views and micro-ad revenue for survival. (Amazon, the owners of IMDB, really should sue Wikipedia sideways over this). By choosing wikipedia over them you are NOT helping the shows you love.

    If they quote their source and link back to them, then they'll get traffic from people who might never have been t their site had it not been linked to by their preferred collaborative encyclopedia.

    The story you linked to reports about fanatical opposition to a canal because it would destroy said bridge, and has nothing to do with geology or opposition to it. The only things it says about science is that scientists don't think that the bridge in question was built by an army of monkeys, and that some of them think it's a natural formation. Nor does it state that scientists have disproved this presumed feat of monkey engineering corps; and indeed, how could anyone possibly disprove something like that?

    That story I linked gives you all the seeds a human would need for a google search to answer all the concerns you have written down there, monkey boy.

    Your failure to educate yourself is depressing.

    Forcing science on someone for no reason isn't any better than forcing religion on someone imo.

    No reason? The spread of disease is best stopped with science, not prayers. That's a fact that provides all the reasons you need.

    I've never really understood any but the most literal creationist's objections to evolution. I mean, why aren't they protesting dinosaurs? Isn't the Earth supposed to be too young for them to have existed?

    They don't because the evidence of dinos is overwhelmeing AND super duper cool.
    So they claim them as their own, saying that the bible talked about a big beast, behemoth, and that this must have been a dinosaur that was then killed in the great 40 day flood (which the being that willed the entire universe in existence in a day had to use to get rid of his giants).

    And no, they don't want to hear about how Behemoth describes an elephant, a dino is their story and they're sticking to it, evidence or not.

    And if you have geological evidence of strata and layers? They haven't looked in Galileo' device and they won't look at your data either. The bible says something, if you contradict it you're in a satanic cult, it's that simple.

    I'm a leftie, and my mouse is on the right, like.. well.. all the other lefties I know. Actually, I have never seen someone use a mouse of the left, though I'm sure that weirdo exists.

    I have mice on both sides.
    I'm almost ambidextrous so this way I can reach for a mouse with whichever hand isn't currently holding my coffee.

    I do get a lot of "oh, you're left handed?" from people who see me reach for things with my left hand though. I never understood why people limit themselves to 50% of their usable hands.

    This is the problem I found - if I have to test it, what is the point of blocking it in the first place? OK, it can stop cross-site attacks in their tracks, but if the bad code is hosted on the server I chose to visit, it's game over anyway.

    Why bother looking both ways before crossing the street? If someone suddenly decides to deliberately run you over, it's game over anyway.

    Why bother looking out before opening the door? If the person you decide to let in turns out to be a serial killer, it's game over anyway.

    Etc.

    Why? Because I don't see these pop-ups, I went to the demo site (linked in TFA) and nothing popped. Suck it, evil marketroids!
    If ever a site serves me one, on the blacklist it goes.

    Not a sword, a dagger. And no, you shouldn't be allowed to carry either on an airplane. 9/11 happened because 4 guys with box-cutters could commandeer an airplane. Obviously, this tactic would not work today, but I think that Sikhs can check their daggers. Not wanting the general public carrying weapons on a plane is neither paranoid nor moronic.

    If only there had been courageous Sikhs on board to fight off the terrrists...

    The Soviets (Russians) had invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Immediately afterwards, Carter (not Nixon) approved sending arms to the insurgents within the country. This policy was continued by the Reagan Administration. The Soviets withdrew in 1989 with their tails between their legs. This was all above-board, the US made no bones about opposing this and arming the insurgents.

    But hose freedom fighters which Rambo and James Bond assured me were good people who only wanted to preserve their freedom of religion from the evil communists suddenly became terrorist once it was the U.S. who invaded Afghanistan.

    You can see where I would start to suspect that the people bandying about words like "terrorist" and "freedom" are just using emotionally charged ideals to get people on their side, not accurately describing the world.

    Since the Internet's reach is global, and the communications and transactions that take place on it are global, it only makes sense that a global legal jurisdiction needs to be set up to deal with such issues.

    I think the marketing angle on this is that Windows 7 is correct by design. Besides, Apple releases new versions of OS X that are basically service packs at full price all the time

    Your analogy is fatally flawed. You need the service packs, but if there's nothing you want in a new mac OS, you're still getting all your security updates, all your software updates (iTunes, Quicktime, etc) and your machine keeps getting better with age, like smelly, smelly cheese.

    Consider that Microsoft has a far larger and more effective QA system internally than Apple.
