As I interpret it he could't see his kids faces in the dream because he could not remember the details of how they look. At the end he did see their faces which means he did not dream.

    There you go, happy ending.

  3. Evolution of games and gamers on Financial Issues May Force Changes On Games Industry · · Score: 1

I do not agree that evolution of games must mean that they're more expensive to make. Maybe I am not one of the majority but big, long, high-budget games based on some movie IP is not what I am after. I am soon 30 and have a job, I love small and fun games that I can play for a few hours or so without having anxiety for not being able to play for a week. It seems like this market is growing and I sure buy 3-4 casual-gamer games than one high-budget game that I am going to get tired of before I am able to finish it. I think studios that can find a good balance between such releases will be successful.

  6. Dont bring a laptop on Gadgets You Backpack Around the World With? · · Score: 1

Dont take your MacBook with you. It takes too much space, will probably get stolen or break (in some countries buss/train/taxi-"staff" will throw your bags up the roof of the veichle etc. before you have any chance to stop them).

Sell the ipod and buy an Iriver H340 (or something similar), 40GB HD, music and movie player as well as picture and .txt viewer (for adresses to friends/family etc.). And it supports UMS (usb mass storage devices). Just connect your digital camera and backup your pictures.

Internet access is avalible and cheap as long as you keep to the "beaten track" but not always high speed.

I agree, I've also been running Slack and Gentoo, but now I'm running Arch Linux, it's like Slackware but up to date (for desktop use) and with a great package manager called Pacman that is everyting I liked about portage but with no need to compile. Ofcourse if you want to compile everything you can do it with ABS.

Hehe, A girl in my class just bought a VHS-player and I asked her why? There's DVD I said! She said "oh, Is that the new thing?".

I was really close to ask if she had been living in a cave for the last few years, but she seemed really serious and I didn't want to offend her.
But I say, VHS tapes isn't dead yet!
  11. Re:I'll say this on Listening Comparisons For Audio Codecs At 64kbps · · Score: 1

You've all got it wrong. Nobody whants to listen to 64kbps audio in whatever format, 80kbps in ogg is the lower resonable limit for music I think.

However, I use my PDA to watch movies/shows on the train and here's where you want to go down to 64kbps or even 48kbps. I've used both mp3 and ogg (ogg + divx in the ogm container) and I can tell you that ogg wins over mp3 at these low bitrates by long ways, doesn't matter if you have $200 or $2 headphones.

  13. Still not the service I want. on Disney to Make Movies Available Online · · Score: 1

I must say I'm happy that these kind of services is coming out, but 30 days? No that's not good enough. I want to be able to download the movie in SVCD or DVD format to burn so I can watch it on my standalone.
I would gladly pay 5-10 dollars for one movie with no restrictions, no ads and no extras (could pay more if I wanted the extras).

Guess it's going to be a while before that happens.
