If you're reading this, why don't you send the next version of Sobig in a message that says somethig to the effect of "DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT, IT CONTAINS A VIRUS" with the virus itself named virus.EXE and contained in a file called virus.zip.
You have enough proxies as it is, surely you can "trow away" one batch. You know, just for the hell of it.
Both filtering and blocking help. Blocking helps by not even letting the mail enter your server, and filtering helps by not showing you the mail even if you receive it. If you can't see it, you can't buy anything from the spammer (well, at least directly because of the spam). And I'd say the biggest cost of spam is wasted hours spent looking at the spam when you're checking your mail.
I have been using POPFile since January, and I know it uses pseudowords for all kinds of features spammers use, like comments, remote images etc. (html:comment, html:imgremotesrc).
Water pumps make almost no noise. At least when compared to a fan. Of course you'll probably still need a fan for a radiator, but going from CPU&NB&GPU ( and if you are hard-core, Power) fans to 1 large fan that runs at 7 volts makes a big difference.
They DO offer a free player. Just look for the really small "download our free player" in some corner of the HUGE "download a trial version of the full player" -page.
Well, I've already gotten many spams that have the tagged address intact. And spammers should not do that anyway. A plus-sign is a valid character in the local part of the address. No-one should try to interpret it in any way.
I could have a filter that puts any mails coming to the plain address straight to the trash, since I have not used the untagged address (nearly) anywhere.
In addition to that, while the iki.fi server uses "+" as a separator, some servers could use a "-" or any other character as the separator. So you could encode the address as for example laura-jenny.elle.nora.alexandra.camilla@example.co m and have a look-up table between parts of IP-addresses and names.
You can often do this even without a throwaway domain. Many addresses can be tagged by adding a "+" (plus-sign) and anything between the user name and the @-sign.
For example wheany+sd@iki.fi, wheany+SpamTastesGood@iki.fi, wheany+glahglahglag@iki.fi, wheany+spammer.com_on_06_22_2003@iki.fi all go to the same mailbox.
Yes and after they know what you have bought before, they will force you to buy more "related" stuff because you can no longer control your money usage.
Well, if trollaxor.com had a cache of the CNN front page, and many people confirm seeing the story on CNN and George Bush admits to taking nude ballet classes, why not.

You can stop making SCO jokes. You don't get any karma from funny-mods.
Slightly off-topic, I hate when a page refreshes when I hit "back."
Try Opera.
The headers still offer a lot of information to filter by, as do the urls of the images and the fact that they are remote.
My POPFile says this:
Lookup result for html:imgremotesrc
good 0.2185471262
spam 0.7814528738
html:imgremotesrc is most likely to appear in spam

Does SpamBayes do anything similar?
Except that it has 8+2+2 MB of memory, compared to 32 of the PS2.

Instead of using an audio file that says "A O P," use a file that says "The first letters of the words apple orange and pear."
No, at least mention a name. Or some vague reference, like "I remember reading about some really small printer on Toms hardware guide."
"No it isn't" means nothing.
No, that would be Mark Hamill.

Nothing, I just like to know where my address has been harvested. Spam is not a big problem for me anymore, I use bayesian filtering

SCO is the O.J. Simpson of Slashdot.
I Agree With This Post (it's 4 GB)
I'm pretty sure Mel Brooks has never used the word fsck.
Okay, so you made up three names and because no-one has heard of them, mods thought they were real underground bands and moderated you up.
I must remember that in the future...

You are a karmawhore. The article had nothing to do with Microsoft or Bill Gates.

Someone has moderated you troll, does that mean people are free to hack into your computer?
Yeah! The truth needs to be suppressed!
The french nuclear arsenal?
All the more reason for US to bomb them.
