I recommend POPFile. It's multiplatform (Uses Perl. It has a Windows installer that inclues a stripped down version Perl), and it can categorise your mails in more categories than just "spam" and "not spam", eg. "spam", "work", "personal", "tennis" etc.
It acts as a proxy between your mail program and the POP server, so you can keep using your favorite mail program. It only supports POP at the moment, but IAMP support is on its way.
POPFile also recognises and counters many common spammer tricks, like commented-out-words (pe<!-- asdasd -->nis), d.o.t.t.e.d w.o.r.d.s, S p a c e d O u t W o r d s, same colored text and background on html mails ("invisible ink"), and more.
I reset my statistics on May 7th, and my current accuracy is 98,59 at work, higher at home. I have received 356 mails, of which 5 have been misclassified, with 1 false positive.
Opera uses both the link-tag, or if it is missing, links that have the text "next" in them (or in the case of image-links, the alt text). IIRC it uses multiple languages to find "next" links.
Oh yeah, and if a page has a bunch of links to images, fast-forward lets you view them as a slideshow.
No, wait! Analogies are fun, and I can make this one even sillier:
It's like a burglar that is hiding in a closet and mooning people through a window. Every now and then he goes out and gets a mail package that contains equipment and futher instuctions.
The new "patch" is like a booby-trapped pistol that is rigged to blow on the wielder's face, and that hopefully only has one bullet in it.
Try Red Faction. Parts of the environment were destructable. And not just "I shot a rocket at a wall and it revealed a secret passage", you actually made holes into the walls.
Parts are implemented in some games. Red Faction had deformable environments, many games have had ragdoll physics and objects that break when enemies hit them.
So it took, what, 6 posts for one of the "I want a phone that makes a phone call" -people to emerge.
At least Nokia has made a "basic" phone, the 2100.
Sorry, it also has stuff like a stopwatch, a full-screen clock, and changeable covers, but it is a new phone and about as basic as you can get nowdays. You are in the minority, though. Most people want the bells and whistles. They want their phone to be "cool", even if they never really use all those features.
You already have to trust the results of the author, even if he had posted pngs.
But he basicly said that "Okay, this JPEG looks better than it should" and "This JPEG does not do the codec justice" and so on. If we are already trusting the author, why post screenshots at all. Especially when they are not accurate.
And with IAMP I mean IMAP...

Because the gram is such a small mass that it is difficult to make a precise standard mass.
Seriously, what are you talking about?
And how many sites actually use the ?

You can play Doom on Nokia 7650 and 3650...
Seriously, the guys in India, Russia, et. al. are working their asses off for far less money than IT professionals make here.
Or they are slacking off for far less money than IT professionals in other places.

I remember the days when it was the Genesis vs. SNES vs. 3DO vs. Turbografx 16 vs. NeoGeo vs. the Jaguar.
Genesis vs. SNES vs. What? vs. What? vs. What? vs. What?
Those other consoles haven't really died because they hardly lived.
You would have to pay for the privilege, of course.
There is this thing called Xbox live, you know. You could download them directly to the Xbox.
The PSP has a USB connection. The PS2 has two USB ports. Think Gamecube - Gameboy Advance.
Where the hell did you people pull that 2 hours from?
Someone said "It better not have a battery life of 2 hours", and after that everyone is saying "OMG THE PSP HAS A BATTERY LIFE OF 2 HOURS IT SUXXX"
Has Sony released any specs on battery life? No.
Will the PSP have a battery life of 2 hours? Probably not. I'm sure Sony know what they are doing.
No you won't.
Well maybe when you buy a pack of Hard disks, you could get a bonus harddisk that has Redhat entertainment pack on it.
Woohoo the acme of open source entertainment: BzFlag and TuxRacer!
the machine eats babies.
OMG! The machine is a communist!
Imagine Will Smith getting Neo's role
You know the difference between you and me? I make this look pretty god damn amazing!
They're _still_ sticking with the claim that the machines are using people as a source of energy!
...only a movie.
It's him.
Do we proceed?
Yes. he is still...
You say that like the Wachowski brothers are the Iraqi information minister.
They don't kill the humans because they don't want to be like humans. I like that.
It might not make any sense to the spoilsports in Slashdot, but I like it.
