Or maybe because Blu-Ray has been out for over a year, and PS3 is going to have Blu-Ray drives right from the start. And Blu-Ray's capacity is bigger than HD-DVD's.

Which is why you are going to make it a "fun contest" for your readers. That way you get a new design for the price of one subscription/t-shirt (that was also designed by a reader who didn't get paid. Money, that is).

Because I can. Seriously - if there was a way to delete all ads from TV, wouldn't most people do it?

I pretty much do just that. I have a Mythtv box, and usually I watch any programs it has recorded when I have the time. And when I do, I skip ads. Even when I watch "live" tv, I usually watch it at 90% rate, so that I'm able to skip at least part of the commercial break.

Oh yeah! Now that you mention it, it really is funny! You see, the article talks about how Java is not as slow as is generally believed, but then the grandparent says that he posted the message using Java! That's not funny as such, but it is when you consider that it's supposedly the first post! And it's funny to think that he might have actually been the first to post the message, but since he was using Java, its slowness caused the message to be actually posted waaay late!

    Too funny!

A more sensible scheme would prevent you from copying the file forward, but I don't think that's necessary either.

What do you mean? The drop-down that shows address history and can be used to make a google search? Or possibly the "start bar" that appears by default when you click on the address line? I don't think you can remove the drop-down, but you can disable the other bar by unchecking "start bar" from the customization window.
