That every laptop comes with instructions om how to google. A person in a third world country might try strings like: "how do i clean/desalinate drikning water", "how do i prevent getting aids", "wtf is a solar oven and how do i make one so that i don't have to spend all frikkin day gathering wood", "how do i play freerolls", "are there any crops besides opium i can grow on my farm NOT food since food grown in my country has to compete with imports at zero price". etc, etc.
"There's no way for an antenna to "reabsorb" the uncollected power."
Actually there is since, in this case, it is not radiated as RF-energy, it is simply stored in a near-field.
Most people don't know the difference, but the phenomenon is related to the one that makes bulb fronts more efficient in ships and makes sumbarines move with less friction below the surface that at it.
No sorry, not even that does it. In that case the police report should say "He fondled my nuts rather hard." NOT "The suspect sustained severe facial injuries while repeatedly bashing his face against my fist."
"If police were present, then the homeless & Chinese nationals who stood in line to resell the units would simply walk down the street and into a building before engaging in the transgressions being griped about."
I didn't know it was illegal to sell something you own in Japan, I thought the people wanted the police to be there to maintain order in the unruly line.
None of that applies to the examples given. And the polica can "edit" the footage just as easily by moving the appropriate parts of the action off-camera.
And if we go back to the You-tube video that is featured in this story.. what could have possibly been edited out that exuses puching someone that is being held down in the face?
"without seeing the part where that person drew a gun and threatened the cop"
In reality a persons weapon does NOT magically disappear the moment they are shot. Only if the person being shot already has lost hin gun; when he is shot, will it seem that the officer is doing something shady.. And in that case he actually is!
That is where we see the stuntmen dress up as cops and robbers and, plan the scene - Because there is no other situation that whould exuse what we see in the video.
According to precedent set by the supreme court, adding another 10 years untill the next election every ninth years does not count as setting it off indefinitely. (For reference see the whole extension of copyrights debacle)
I'll trade a fresh copy of humor 2.0 for that daughter 1.0 of yours.

"Then it's not an antenna."
True, however they referred to as one in the article and didn't bother to correct that.
"These kind of fields drop off as the cube of the distance, making them mostly useless."
Again true, exept for very low values for "distance".
Is that something Tesla was working on that was recently discowered and developed for use over shorter distances?

Give me a ballpark figure.
This is slashdot, you are supposed to guess the OS from the filename of the device driver.

Trying to shut it down constitutes a crime, such a term in a contract is usually null and void.
The law says that the only ones allowed to regulate radio traffic are the FCC.. it makes no difference who has a contract with whom..
Before Microsoft has spent more money supporting a licenced customer than thay gained from the sale?
